Hobbies and Interests: 

I really enjoy playing backgammon. I have played in live tournaments and have run an online backgammon league. My online league allowed me to play with and get to know some wonderful people from all over the world. I also really enjoy doing crafts of all kinds. This year I am doing a lot of sewing and knitting getting ready for a new grandson who will be born in January, 2008.


Pet Peeves
 It really makes me sad when my students don't work to their full potential. Wasted time is something that you can never get back.

Advice to Students:
Read, read, read! Everyone should try to learn something new every day. Learning makes your brain grow. When you are planning for your future: Reach for the Stars!

Work Experience:
I started teaching on April 1, 1980 in Millington, Michigan. I taught there for 6 years before coming to Lapeer. In 1988, I was laid off for a year and taught at Brown City Elementary. Over the years I have taught at every grade level from kindergarten to 12th grade. I really enjoy working with high school students. Helping students finish their public school education and plan for the next stage in their life is very exciting and fulfilling.

Activities: Spending time with my family, reading, crafts, backgammon

Books: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Science fiction, mysteries

Places to visit: National Parks, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, New York City
