I graduated from Auburn University in fall 2002 with a PhD in chemistry. I'm now doing a postdoc at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. We'll probably stay here forever. I have two Dobermans and a dalmation mix and stay very busy training and trialing them in Schutzhund. Love doing that the mostest! Other than that, nothing too exciting. I've been doing alot acually...I tried to join a gym and...well, bunch of other stuff...I can't remember. I have 2 children, recently divorced and I've been living in a van down by the river. I'm kidding- lol Now that I have your attention- I got married in 2001 to Julie Shemanski. She is a West grad from the class of 96 and the joy of my life. We live in Lapeer and we have no children. We're still very selfish with our time. I have been on the Lapeer City Fire Department since 10/96 and I really enjoy it! Yes, it's nice to help people, but to be honest I really enjoy the huge adrenaline rush. After pursuing a full time career in Fire Fighting I changed my major to education and transfered to UofM-Flint because of a very tough job market. As you may have guessed Fire Science credits didn't transfer and I had to start over again as a freshman...OUCH! It all worked out for the better as I have found my true calling in teaching...I love it! I recently graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Secondary Education from the University of Michigan-Flint. (yes, I know I'm cheap) My wife is a teacher as well which works out nice. Of course due to the change in my college major she has been my sugar momma for the past four years. : ) I'm currently looking for a job teaching like 4 million others. Since I graduated I've been substitute teaching in Lapeer. I plan to attend SVSU or Eastern University to gain a masters degree in Special Education. |

I am still going to school in search of a nursing degree, I will begin my clinicals in January next year. Who knew being a full time mom and a full time college student could be so challenging!! What was I thinking! We are still living in Davison and really like it. Rich, my husband spends any spare time he has from work, racing or working on the racecar. So between the kids, my school work, and his racing and working, we keep pretty busy....but I can say that I love my life and wouldn't change it a bit. We have owend our own home now for over 2 years now in Eastpointe MI. For those of you not familar with metro Detroit were between Gross pointe & ST.CLAIR SHORES. Now to the big news we just had our frist child A son Logan Lee he was 7 LBS 14 OUNCES 20.5 inches long. He looks like mom thank god. We also share our home with our 2 labs Mulligan and Bogey. Also at one time we had a friend of ours stay with us for a while the infamous Brian Boisvert now the U.S ARMY go get those guys buddy. So now the time is near to say my farewell so farewell now. |

I also got married and had a baby. After 1 year we were divorced. I "kissed the right butt" at the company I was working for and moved into Marketing as a Travel and Event Planning Coordinator. Life has been very good to me by opening doors one would think could never open. In this past year I have been able to concentrate on ME, fitness, nutrition & education. I have taken a long vacation (13 months) and I support myself on the savings I was able to "put away" while working since I graduated from High School. I am thinking of going back to work within the next few months but it's nice not to be rushed. I live in Rochester Hills with my son in a cute place which I just redecorated from top to bottom. A lot has happened in the last few years, but I will try to keep this update much shorter than the last. Here is the short version of a long strange trip (no room for the juicy details): I graduated from CMU in 2000 with a BS in Education (major: physical sciences, minor: psychology). I even taught for Lapeer Schools one summer (physical science) before I took a job teaching science and psychology at Lake Fenton High School. I ended up moving to Ann Arbor, got a Masters Degree in Library & Information Science (Wayne State University, 2004). I have owned a home in Ypsilanti since 2003 and I am now currently teaching full-time at Lincoln High School (a huge school a few miles south of Ypsilanti in the middle of corn-field country). I am head of the media department and the high school librarian. It is a wonderful career. I also teach a physics class two nights a week at the lovely Washtenaw Community College. This probably makes me sound like a pretty nerdy person, but I am quite happy and I love living in this area. For fun I work as a stage manager (booking bands, running sound/lighting, etc.) at a live music club in downtown Ypsilanti called The Elbow Room (www.ypsirocks.com). Believe it or not, I am still performing in the band Sin Embargo with my brother, Eric. I formed that band when I was in 10th grade and we are still making music and playing clubs. Most of you know, i moved to Tennessee, and i'm still here, just south of Knoxville, in a town called Seymour, it's really close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, so if any of you make it around here, look me up. I am married with 2 incredible identical twin boys, Kyle and Kevin. They are the joy of my life, it's a blessing to watch them grow up. It's great to see everyone with their own families growing strong. I work as a production engineer in Maryville, Tenn at a place called Denso. I took a lenghty bit of time off school to focus on my family and seeing what life was like without a class or test to worry about. It probably shocks many of you to know I won't graduate college til 2005. I don't regret it, it's nice to see other things in life other than a book shoved up your nose. To all those who have graduated , congrats. I know how hard it is. I will enter the teaching field, K-8, with a pre-teaching math bachelors degree. I plan to stay home for a while now, since I will be adding a new little person to our house in June 2004. Eventually I will go back to work, but for a while I want to enjoy my baby and daughter! Many things have changed since I last updated. I got married on July 27, 2002. My husband is the most wonderful man in the world, and Jennifer Woodard would agree. By the way Jen needs to update her records just a little, hint hint Jen. Our kids are growing up so fast. My daughter Kaitlyn is 8 now and the best child ever. My step daughter is also 8 and everyone is amazed when I tell them that she is my step daughter, because Tori and Kaitlyn look so much alike. My step son Michael is 7 and he is all boy. He keeps me so busy.My husband has changed his job recently. He is now a funeral director at the one and only funeral home here in Munising, Mi. I have also changed my profession. I did not chose to, the man that I cared for, for almost four years passed away in Feb. of this year. So at this time I am going to school and taking care of my family. After I am finished with school I will be a nurse midwife. But that will still be a while since I did not start back to school until last fall. We have as my daughter calls it a zoo. We have a dog named Bart who is four, a puppy named Tilly who is a month old, a cat named Emily who is two, two guinea pigs that are a pain, and two fish. We are planning on buying a bigger house soon, that has some land. My husband said no horses or pigs so the girls and I are kind of bumbed. I was offered a job in Pennsylvania before graduation, So I packed up all of my stuff and my soon to be wife and moved to Harrisburg, Pa. My wife Jacy and I got married in Sept. of 2000. I'm still working for US Airways Express and loving it. Jacy and I are expecting our first child within the next 2 weeks. He's been working as a teacher and head football coach and track coach for 4 years now in Nebraska on an Indian reservation. We have a little girl named Madison Marie. She's 9 months old. My wife and I are going to be moving into our first house at the end of april. We are hoping to start a family after we get settled. I still work for E&L Service for now, however I now own my own business.I have two of the richest people in Genessee County teaching me what they did to get the same results they have. I am still in shock because it is taking off so quickly for us. Things are looking really good for us. I hope that everything is going as good for everyone else as it is for us. Well After my career at Lapeer West, I applied to Harvard, but was unfortunately rejected because of my 2.0 gpa in high school. Luckily, I was excepted to another prestigeous collge in Flint Michigan, called Mott Community College. After Mott, I attended Central Michigan University and graduated with a degree in Health Fitness and Cardiac Rehabilitation in 2000. I am currently still in Mt. Pleasant where I am finishing up another degree in secondary education. My parents still live in the lapeer area, and I usually visit once a month. I have no kids, (at least none that I no of?), but continue to date. One nice thing about the Mt. Pleasant area is that every year young freshmen girls enter this city in large numbers!!!! I am currently working full-time at McLaren Regional Hospital in Flint, contingent weekends at Genesys, and still occasionally find time to work as a security supervisor for a few concerts at DTE and the Palace of Auburn Hills(busy, busy). I married Rob Struble in June 2001. He's originally from Grand Blanc and is a pharmacist for Walgreens. We built a house in Davison township in 2001, don't have any kids, and aren't trying for any. We have been spending a lot of our time working on the house, traveling, or planning our next trip and kids don't fit in to the picture at this time. However, we are the proud parents of 2 Boxers "Storm" and "Chopper", and a siamese cat "Kimber". |

My major is Social Work and I am expected to graduate in May of 2003. I am currently doing my internship of School Socail Work at north branch elementary very good experience and research studies that I will be involved in. I moved to Lansing for a 3 years lived and worked out there and got involved in the lifestyle down in a college town, lots of fun. Had to return to Flint to do my inetrnship, though I am planning on returning to lansing for grad school and what not. Some may know most probably do not, I am in a hard working band called Eyes Of Dominance, you may have heard us on Bananna 101.5 . The outfit is a hardcore/ metal group that is very intense in both performance and musicality, Steve Irwin is in the band also he sings belive it or not!!! I am currently playing in michigan, ohio , indiana, illinois, and everywhere and anywhere. My band has produced 1 independant album and has had the oppurntnity to play with big names on the national music scene. We are currently moving up to the next level and getting management and shopping our music to independant record labels with hope of impressing someone.I have changed alot since 1995 and thats fine with me. The next logical step was for me to get married to some redhead who took pity on a poor boy, promptly quit my job(s) and then move to the Czech Republic. Wow I can't believe how long it has been since we have all been at Lapeer West, and I can't believe how many of you still live in Michigan. I, like John Lane, had to get out of that cold state and moved to Tennessee. I live about a half hour from Nashville. It is beautiful down here. My sons are growing so fast it is unreal. My oldest Brendan is 8 and them goes Owen who is 5, then my baby Hunter. I am still single although I think I have met the most wonderful man in the world.In Jan. 2003 I finally started college majoring in Childhood Education, although I couldn't finish this semester due to circumstances I couldn't help I am hopeing to go back in the fall. I recieved my maintenance certificates and worked in aviation ever since. After a breif stint in Ypsilanti and Oscoda I have found a good company in battle creek called Duncan Aviation which is where I am now. On May 13 this year I am getting married to Erin Moore who graduated from West in 1998. I still remain in contact with friends from West such as Caleb Putnam, my best man for the wedding, Zak montgomery, Jack Milito and Greg Vaughn. Other than that I have no idea what everyone else is doing so let me know. |
