| 1993 | (Panek) Alanis, Michelle | Oct 14, 2005 at 12:58:02 | I finally earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Davenport University. About the same time, I decided that public accounting wasn't much fun (never seeing the sunlight during tax season and traveling too much during audit season). So I accepted an internal accounting position at a school district. It's a great job, especially the hours - the parking lot clears out at 4:30! I'm planning to start on my master's at Walsh college sometime next year. I think I'd like to teach at the college level down the road. I've been married since 1996 to Rudy, who I met while in the Army. We have three kids, Ashley's 8, Andrew's 6, and Emily is 4. I can't believe how big they're getting! Hope everyone's doing well! |
| 1993 | (Kline) Arnold, Tracie | Jul 17, 2005 at 19:53:06 | Hi Everyone - wow, it's been almost 10 years since we've graduated. Boy does life happen fast. Well, as for me: after high school I went to college and graduated from Oakland University in 1997 w/ a business degree in Management Information Systems; Got married to Brian Arnold (class of 1990) in 1998 - yes, it's the SAME Brian I dated while attending West ;o). Hope everyone is doing good. Keep in touch. Gees, it's been over 2 years since I visited this site... I had to think really hard what the heck my username and password was =o) ... I gradutated Oakland University again (2004) but this time with a Masters in Business Administration. Still working at DaimlerChrysler (been there 8 years now - wow!)... Turned 30 this year (much like everyone else here) - don't really see it as catastrophic; but have noticed that I no longer get called "Miss" when someone's trying to get my attention and rarely get carded - so that's a bit disheartening (LOL) Anywho - take care everyone... catch ya in a few more years. |

| 1993 | (Squire)Carr, Patricia | 11/20/2002 at 8:33:14 AM | I went to Spring Arbor College for 2 1/2 years. Then transfered to U-of-M Flint for about a year or so. I got married in October of 1997 to Terry Carr (class of 1987). Shortly after getting married I quit going to school because I still wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I have a 3 year old boy named Nathan, and a baby girl named Maria. I have traveled a little out of the sates sense graduating. I have been to Belize, Guatemala, Jamacia, Mexico, Germany, and France. My family and I live in Columbiaville. I stay at home right now and am taking care of my kids. Maybe someday I will go back to school, who knows? Right now I am happily married and I am content staying at home, but looking forward until they are in school :) My husband and I along with a friend of ours bought an online game store in July of 2002. We sell board and card games online. Check us out at www.fairplaygames.com or www.newworldgames.com. It is always interesting to look on this website and see what everyone is doing. |
| 1993 | Choiniere, Lisa | 8/8/2003 at 4:56:25 AM | It was weird, the other day I was thinking about this website and then I returned and read the status of my life as it was what seemed many eons ago and realized life can change in a heartbeat. I am a Validation Engineer now at Pfizer and am blessedly happy. I never married (thank the Goddess for that) but still, life is sweet. I was back in good ol' Lapeer this past Christmas and wow! The changes and the sheer number of people and traffic in comparisons to the memories I have of high school. Amazing... Be well, all... | 1993 | (Cross)Eninsche, Valerie | 7/26/2003 at 6:25:50 AM | Hello, anyone and everyone. If you remember me in my senior year, I was very pregnant with Alexandra who has just turned a precocious 10. 93-95 was spent working various jobs in the foodservice industry, where I cultivated a love for cooking and whiskey sours. I enrolled into college at U of M Flint with the full intention of doing something practical, but came to my senses and got a BFA in Art Metals from EMU. (with teacher certification) I have been teaching elementary school art in Dexter and at a Montessori School, But I quit the private school to teach elementary and high scool art in Dexter this fall. I hear that the 2nd grade students and the 10th grade students are pretty much the same, which might shed some insight on the whole High School experience on a cosmic level.I married Moonson Elliott (class of 91) in 1999 and we all changed our name to Eninsche (which is the Hungarian name from my moms side that was changed to Clark in the cold war era.)My current passions are for good company, teaching, and restoring our 1920 bungalow in Ann Arbor. |
| 1993 | (ostrom)garcia, wendy | 3/21/2002 at 4:46:05 AM | Hi. After high school I went to Mott for 2 associates in Culinary Arts and Foodservice Management. We catered some weddings and rehearsals of former classmates and West alumni. But Valerie graduated to become a teacher and the IMA sold my golf course, so I cheffed a year at a nursing home(yawn). Then I worked for Creative Catering for a year. Now I am at Genesys Athletic Club and Banquet Center, working for Blue Collar Gourmet(Bubba's, Redwood Lodge, etc.),as manager of the cafe'.It sounds like I move too much, but that is the way this industry is. Plus I have my priorities straight. I took 4 mos. off between the last two jobs and 3 mos. off between the previous 2. I took a lesser position so I can have Tuesdays off for Nicky's Preschool, a cooperative. Mike has been at Baxter Pharmaceuticals in Rochester for 6 years. |

Let's see, Did the college thing, got a good enough job to support my lifestyle. Now I'm traveling around (when I get time off) and racing the GNCC offroad series, it's fun, so I do it. Email me sometime, it will be good to hear from y'all. Peace, Love, and Humptyness.03/25/2002- I had a great time in Brazil. The beaches, the thongs, the boobies everywhere...awesome. I went hiking for 5 days (Dec. 28th - Jan. 1) in a rainforest called Chapada Dimentina in a town called Lencois. Beautiful waterfalls, and scenic mountains, 85 degrees and the river water was a rust color from the minerals. While I was there I took the PADI open water scuba certification. I almost drowned during one of the underwater tests where I had to remove my mask at 40'. I wigged out a little, but luckily I was able to control my breathing. Anyway, email me and say hi sometime. Later.05/04/04 - Working for a material handling company in Brighton (2/98) as a Mechanical Engineer. Living with my girlfriend and puppy in Metamora. | 1993 | (Nurmi)Hundt, Heather | 3/8/2001 at 11:24:41 PM | Hello to all! After H.S. graduation I attended Central Michigan University where I earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree with a major in instrumental music and a minor in choral music. My goal was to move a little further away from my home town after college, but fate has a way of leading you in the most unexpected directions. I landed a job as a middle school music and beginning band teacher in North Branch. My husband, whom I met at college, is the director of bands in Mayville. So we did the only logical thing, we bought a house in Lapeer. This ended up being a very good thing because now my parents are able to watch our new son, Joshua Daniel (5 months), during the day. He is the sunshine of our life! Glad to hear so many of you are doing well. I am looking forward to our next reunion. |
| 1993 | Jaje, Andrea | 5/26/2000 at 9:48:22 PM | My how things change...currently working on moving to Waterford. After working at Durakon, here in Lapeer, for four year, I left for hopefully something better!!! Now I'm working at Tru-Val Tubing in Waterford. The title is Production Control...but that means they're getting one person to do two people's work!!!! Truthfully, I've been promoted (after two months of working for them) up to Manager...I control the warehouse and part of production. Can't wait to see where this job will lead. I'm even thinking about going back to school...except in Engineering (friends think it's a bad idea, should go into Logistics (I know most of it already)). Who knows where tomorrow leads!!!! |
| 1993 | (Lambert)Jespersen, Michelle | 7/16/2003 at 9:02:04 AM | I spent three years at Western working toward a Political Science degree and then realized that although I enjoyed the subject, I had no desire to do anything remotely political for a living. I took some time off and decided that what I really want to do is teach elementary school. So I am currently attending Grand Rapids Community College and Ferris - Grand Rapids. I'm going to start dual enrollment in the fall. I am majoring in elementary education with minors in math and science. I work full time at Alticor (formerly known as Amway) in the Legal Division as an Archive Clerk/Law Librarian. Jonathan and I were married on 7/7/00 and we just bought a nice house last summer. We have three cats and a dog which is enough for now! Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion, summer 2004! |

| 1993 | (Koran)Keaton, Mary | 1/15/2004 at 2:06:15 PM | Hello Everyone. So much has happened since high school. After school I started at U of M Flint in Mass Communications. You may have heard me on WINGS 103.1 (RIP) for a while and for that I apologize, I never intended to be a DJ, it just sort of fell on me. I married Eric in 1997 and we moved to Montgomery Alabama to finish our degrees at Auburn University at Montgomery (War Eagle!) and get a change of scenery. Guess what? I'm no southern girl, so we moved back to MI to Ann Arbor. I am currently working in Marketing & Public Relations for a civil engineering firm. Our daughter, Ramona, was born in Ocotober of '02 and she is a genius. I love weddings, dogs, art, cheap champagne, lots of conversation and a good decaf skim vanilla latte when I get the chance. I can't believe how big Lapeer has gotten! |

| 1993 | Konopacki, Daniel | 5/29/2003 at 1:31:53 PM | Ten years, who can believe it has been that long. Well, I stayed in Michigan for a year after graduation but finally escaped (if you can call it that) to the south where I enrolled at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Not able to afford to finish, I relocated after a year to Orlando, FL where I spent nearly 5 years working for Walt Disney. Trust me, it is not nearly as glamorous as it sounds. During this time I was also in the Army Reserves and then later the Coast Guard Reserve. Three years ago I finally made it back to school when I enrolled full-time at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL where I am persuing a degree in linguistics. Currently I am fluent in French and German, can read some Spanish and Italian (thanks to speaking French) and am learning Russian. Last year I spent time in Berlin and I will leave around the begining of July to finish my last semester at the University of Trier in Trier, Germany. I currently work as a Web Designer for Candace Crowe Design out of Orlando. It has been forever and a year since last I spoke with anyone from West. Actually, I believe the official date was graduation, 1993. If anyone has information about the 10 year reunion, please drop me an email. I would love to attend. |

I work as a waitress in a small Cafe, and my husband is a Computer Systems Analyst for Clerk of Courts. Life in sunny Florida has treated us well. It was nice reading up on what everyone has been up to. I hope y'all have gotten the best out of life, and I'm looking forward to catching up at the reunion. |

I did four deployements and saw some interesting places overseas. I somehow managed to find time to meet and fall in love with my wife. We have been married almost 3 years now. In May of 2002 I decided it was enough, and left the Navy after 8 and a half years. Now I am a Nuclear Engineer at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Jennifer and I live in Chesapeake, VA and we are expecting our first born in November. It doesn't look like we will make it to the reunion, but if anyone wants to e-mail me, it be great to hear from you. While i was in the Navy, it was impossible to keep up with anyone I knew. |
| 1993 | (Wright)Martin, Misty | 12/4/2003 at 5:38:30 AM | Hi everyone! It's hard to believe that it has been 10 years! Well, I graduated from college with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. In 1994, I married Robert Martin and we are still together. We have an adorable and very unique 2 year old son. Robert joined the army shortly after high school and so far is making a career of it. I've pretty much spent the last ten years following him around. Currently we live in Louisiana, which is probably our least favorite state of all the states we've lived in. We get back to Michigan about twice a year, not sure yet if we'll make it for the reunion. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying life! Oscrddog@msn.com |

I graduated in 1997 with a teaching degree and minors in Spanish and Environmental Science. Then, I moved to Texas and taught for 3 years in Houston. During my last year teaching, I started volunteering nights with a local fire department where I met my husband. We worked a couple big fires and EMS calls together and then he got on with the Houston Fire Department in 2001. That year we got married, I quit teaching to try to get in to EMS full time and wound up going to work for an environmental company instead. March 11, we celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and I found out I'm pregnant. So now I'm taking a break from the fire department for a while and we getting ready for our first baby, due November 2002. |

Outside of work and school, I don't see too many people from High school...back in April I ran into Jenny Wiater, and we have been really close ever since...she just finished her Bachelors in Health Education and yes, she and Colleen Walmsly are still sharing the same brain...though they're both probably going to kill me for putting their names on here...well, that's about it, I'd love to hear from ya! |
| 1993 | Ragap, Scott | 10/18/2003 at 4:50:54 AM | Hello everybody! Its nice to hear that you're all doing so well. I spent 5 years in the Army planning on getting into law enforcement, only to realize that I didn't like it. So I went to school here in Austin, Texas and got lucky enough to get my foot in the door with a decent sized healthcare organization as a computer tech. I got a couple of Cisco networking certifications and am still working for the same company as a Network Engineer and Security administrator. My wife and I will be celebrating our 4th anniversary on October 30th, 2003 and we have two beautiful children, Madison, who's 4, and Noah, who just turned 2 in August. I hope to see you all at the reunion. Email me if you get a chance or look me up if youre ever in Texas. |

| 1993 | (Hinman) Shaw, Kacie | Mar 17, 2008 at 06:34:31 | Hi!, It's been fun reading about everyone and the interesting things you've been up to. Very nice to hear about a couple of old friends I haven't talked to in years. I attended Saginaw Valley for a year to pursue business studies, but I had a class that made me question if that was what I really wanted so I decided to join the Air Force. But before I left, I met my husband and I got married instead(1996).I gained a son also and then we had two of our own in 1998 and 2004. We lived paycheck to paycheck at a variety of factories or retail stores and moved all over the state. We finally fell into taking care of elderly in 2004 in a little town called Eagle, just off of I-96, not far from Lansing. A year later the owner let us take over and we've been running our own adult foster care home since. It keeps us very busy, especially since my husband decided to branch out and provide in-home care. We employ 4 people and I really wish I would have stuck with the business classes. I also decided that I wanted to be more involved with my kids schooling, so I ran for a school board position a year ago and won. What's funny is that the director of transportation used to work for the Lapeer School system. Well, I don't check my e-mail a lot but feel free to get in touch at kacie@eaglesnest.tk and see my home at www.eaglesnestafc.tk. |
| 1993 | Simmons, Kelly | 11/14/2003 at 5:13:21 PM | Hi! Thought I would update this thing. First, a bit of history, I graduated from U of M in '98 with my Bachelor degree in Accounting. I started out working in public accounting at Ernst & Young down in Detroit. I was travelling a lot and not even to cool places (small towns just outside of Toledo were popular audit destinations). I burned out on that pretty quickly so I took a corporate accounting position at Frank's Nursery and stayed there for four years. Currently I work as an accountant for Guardian Industries. It's a great job. I got married in September 2000 and divorced in July 2003. We didn't have any kids, only the dog which he got "custody" of. Right now I'm living solo in Auburn Hills. Love to hear from ya, drop me an email. See you at the reunion. |

| 1993 | Thibeault, Chris | 7/3/2002 at 5:39:45 PM | I am still around too. Been a long time, since I have even heard of a lot of the names registered. I keep in touch(kinda) mainly with Jack Howay, Brian Newman, and Todd Walker. I went to State for five years trying my best to learn my trade, BS Electrical Eng, all the while struggling to pick up the books. I managed somehow and started working for a semiconductor company, STMicroelectronics. I enjoy my job a lot, and I get to travel quite a bit. I and am living in London currently since April 2000. It's a better place to visit! Jack came once as he said. I spent quite a bit of time in South Russia, as a student and on vacation revisiting my host family and friends, and eventually met my wife there, Irina(married Jan 2001). We both live in London now, and hopefully will be back in the States in April 2003. Write if you get the chance. It would be great to hear from you. |

Besides all that, I miss all my friends and family in Michigan andelsewhere. |
