I was referred to this site by my wife (also a West grad). Seeing these names on this list reminds me of the simple times of life (although I would doubt any of us would have argued that at the time).I received my BS degree for Oakland University and will be returning soon for an MBA (amazing the dollar value for these certificates of higher education). My title is Senior Systems Engineer, but in truth I am just a geek with a fancy business card.I applaud all those who have achieved their dreams be it a profession or family (or both). For those that have not reached them, don't give up...never give up.

Wow, it has been a little while since I have updated my information. Wanted to let you guys know that after HS I started working and dated a wonderful girl that was still in school. Steve Culbert made a mockery of me about that. What he didn't realize that Tracie and I were going to not only stay together, we went to college together and got married in 1998. No kids as of yet. I am still working for Campbell-Ewald, an advertising agency in Warren, MI working in the web design area. I hope that everything is going well for you guys. FYI: Steve C. is married and has a couple of wonderful kids. He's entering the fatherly stage where the girls are hitting their teenage years! He also has a self-started auto-detail shop in Lapeer.

Ahh who needs a reunion. Only 37 of us actually were bored enough to find this page anyways. My brother is not even on here. Still married, still have 3 kids, still have not seen anyone from school (not counting Cory) except Darryl Johnson who I see all the time. Still in the Coast Guard. Now stationed as a phone answerer in the Search and Rescue Operations Center in downtown Detroit. I get to be involved in helping people once in a while. Had better jobs but it gets interesting at times. I get to Lapeer once in a while to see my parents but I have to say, there isnt much there. Hope everyone is doing well, maybe we can get to have a reunion sometime and pretend that we remember each other. I might need glasses by then to read your name tags but I will try.

Happy New Year everyone. Nothing has changed since my first update. Other than I am almost another year older, my daughters are another year closer to the dreaded teenage years. Yes, I have several more years before that however, they are beginning. They are only 18 months apart and I will need all the sanity I can keep. It is bad at 2 and 4. What will it be like at 12. Good thing I stopped at 2. Any how, we ended 2000 on good times. We took our girls to Disney over Thanksgiving. That is the only reason I didn't send in for our class reunion. I was really looking forward to it. I've waited 10 years. Now I will get stuck going to my husbands. Yuck. But hey, maybe we can try agin. I am glad to be able to read how everyone is doing. I didn't have to get out the yearbook, i can remember you all. That is good because I can't remember yesterday. My excuse, kids. I hope everyone has started out with a great new year. Please contact me if you feel the urge. I am on the computer all of the time. My new best friend. Pretty sad, huh?

Hi everyone...as i read along i was glad to hear that all of you have come so far and are doing so well. I myself married a great guy in 1996 and have two children...Devon who is 7 and Brianna who is 4 and they are both the most wonderful miracles that I have ever been given. Right now I am at home with my youngest but will go back to work when she starts school. I was in Sales for some time but then went on to be a Mortgage Loan Originator. I am currently living in Roseville down near Warren and Sterling Hts. I would love to hear from anybody since I can count on one hand the number of you that I have seen since graduation. Please feel free to e-mail me anytime.

I left the Army after nine years and am now a medical officer in the Navy. Just got back from a lovely tour of Iraq, nice place to visit but don't ever work there. Too many noist neighbors. Got married a couple months before I left, getting used to married life all over again. No kids, haven't been together on the same continent long enough I guess. I've run into a few of our classmates here and there (Korea) and other Lapeer natives in other places(Ft Carson, CO and Fallujah, Iraq). Any chance of having a formal reunion any time soon? This Email address follows me where I go. I get back to MI as often as I can, so let me know.

It is alot of fun to read about the past 15 years. My husband Larry and I have been married just over 10 years now and have three children. Graham is 7, Veda is almost 4 and Dru is 13 months old. Out of all the choices we could have made for our children we decided to homeschool them. This was a decision that took me by surprise but one which I wouldn't trade for the world! My sister Ann homeschools as well. I see Amy (Little) Mackie ALL the time as we go to church together and our children play together. I also see Tanya Zager and Leslie Powers now and then. This life can be rocky at times but it is a good life.

Hi everyone! In October, 1999 I married Bill Gibbons (a 1989 Lapeer West graduate). We live in Lapeer and in July of 2000 we had our first and only child, Brooke. I am currently working for my brother-in-law's optometrist practice and am the Practice Manager. He has 9 offices that I do their accounting (among other things) for. I like it---it's nice to work close to home again! Additionally, I'm thankful every day to have such wonderful friends that continue to stay in touch (going on 17 plus years now). I hope all is well with everyone! TAKE CARE!!!

Hi everyone! I have been keeping busy since graduation. I attended U of M Flint for a year right after graduation. Then I got married in 1992 and had my first son, Brandon. I went back to school soon after, this time to Baker College in Flint. During that time I gave birth to Andrew. After six years, some part time, I earned my BBA in accounting. Currently I work for myself doing accounting and taxes from my house. The hours are great and I am here when the kids go to and come home from school. On the side, and for the fun of it, I am a part time substitute teacher in the Lapeer schools. I've even subbed for some of the teachers I had in school, as well as for fellow 1990 West graduates who are now teaching! I am living in Lapeer, still, this time out on Haines Rd. Don't be afraid to look me up!

Wow. So much to say. I moved away with my parents and went to college on Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda. I never did graduate from Alpena Community. I met a great guy, and we were married a year later. We have two children. Our daughter is 15, and our son will be 12 in September. While living in Nebraska, it was discovered that Eric had a brain tumor, and we learned his mother had Alzheimer's Disease. Eric's operation rendered him deaf in his left ear and resulted in a loss of balance. He had to get out of the military, and we moved to Lake Jackson, TX to help care for his mother. Eric's mother passed at home, and we are back in Nebraska now, but we do not know for how long. Eric is currently putting out applications for other jobs with the government. His job is going away when then close the section in February. I have been going to school off and on all these years. I keep trying to get my BSN, but each time we move, I seem to be having to start all over. One day. For now, I am happy. I have a terrific husband and two wonderful children. Who could ask for more?

We had our first child, a girl(Macy Elizabeth), on April 26,2002 and are enjoying parenthood immensely. I hope to return to school to continue towards my BSN in the spring and currently I work from home full-time while taking care of my daughter. We miss family and friends in Michigan but we will never move back! Its nice to hear what everyone is up to!

Hello everyone! 14 years...can you believe it? Graduated from Eastern Michigan University (Ypsilanti, MI) with a BA in Language & International Trade. I continued with the Spanish that I started at West and finished with a Business Spanish major/Marketing minor. College years treated me very well. Over the years I met many friends including international friends that I still keep in touch with today. Living in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area was another positive aspect. Currently working for Panasonic Automotive Systems in Southfield, MI and live in Troy. In my spare/vacation time (never enough) I like to travel. The weekends are for catching up with friends over a few pints and forgetting about your worries. Maybe some day there will be a reunion...until then, I wish everyone continued success. Would love to hear from old friends...it certainly has been a while! E-mail me at maynardr111@hotmail.com

Hey everyone! Last time I checked in on this thing was before our ten year. I even went home for it. It was, well, let's just say it was postponed indefinitely. I'll give you a quick update. I'm not married. I have a dog. After a 2 year enlistment with the USAF in Seattle, I finally graduated from MSU in '97 with a Math degree (?@%*!). After I received my comission as an officer I was sent off to control the nation's nuclear arsenal Cheyenne WY for 4 years. I really didn't enjoy that. But it did land me in California where I got to launch rockets for a living. That, I enjoyed. Here's the twist...I am currently serving as a Liaison Officer in the US Embassy in Bogota, Colombia. Which is excellent since I am an avid coffee drinker. The Air Force flagged me as a spanish speaker long ago and are now cashing in. You never really appreciate the American Dollar until you live in country like this. I would also like to use this medium as a forum to dispell any misconceptions you may have about Colombia. Sorry. This country has suffered from about 45 years of civil unrest caused mostly by leftist guerrilla groups that claim to have political goals. Unfortunately, narcotrafficking is very lucrative and, incidentally, largely fueled by North American demand. The Colombian government, in partnership with the US, has made much progess in combating narco-terrorism. While it can be a dangerous place for a gringo, if you don't know where you are, the general population welcomes our presence. This is really a hidden treasure. Bogota, a city of about 7M people, is actually safer than New York or LA. I highly recommend a visit to this city. Just don't go wandering through the jungle at night with a notepad, a flashlight, and a camera crew. I finally finished the Master's degree (Aerospace Eng). I am really planning on exiting the Air Force this summer so I can use the degree. I know, that's what I said last time. No. Really. I have a job lined up and everything! I'll be working for a technical consulting company doing launch coordination on the west coast. Anyway, sorry about the mini-lecture above. I haven't really kept in touch with anyone. But if you want to re-establish contact, drop me a line.

I can hardly believe it has been 12 years since graduation! I'm not even sure where to start! After graduation I went to Baker College-Flint for a degree in Travel/Tourism. I went to Baker College-Owosso for an interview after I got my degree to get some "real" interview experience and ended up working there for 7 years as an Administrative Assistant/Office Manager for the Admissions Department. I moved to Owosso in 1994. I met my husband, Mike, who is the Vice President for Finance at Baker-Owosso and we were married in 1996. He is a Corunna H.S. graduate and we have made our home in the Corunna community and LOVE it! I took a big promotion in 1999 to the Baker College System where I was working for all of the "head guys", but left in 2000 to be a stay-at-home Mom ~ a decision I have never regretted for a moment even though some thought I was crazy for passing up the career opportunity! God has blessed us with two beautiful boys: Tyson is 3 and Trent is 3 weeks! I would LOVE to hear from any old classmates to catch up. I, too, was disappointed that the reunion was canceled. Take care!

Gee 12 years. Well just happened to run across this. I guess to update after high school I went and served in the army for three years. During that time got married to a girl from El Paso Tx. Her name is Yvonne. We now have three children Amber, William, and Alicia. I have a house in North Branch. I am working as a civilian for the Dept. of Defense. I work at the Armory in Lapeer. I have to keep my enlistment in the National Guard to keep my civilian job. No big deal. I am a Sergeant in the guard. Waiting on an E-6 slot to open up. Hope every one is in good health and spirits considering our present situation in the world. Hope to hear from some of you. If your ever in the neighborhood stop in and chat.

When I graduated from high school I continued on to College at Mott Community College. I received a degree in General Studies and Applied Science. I worked at Lapeer County Abstract for 3 years. I got married to Matt Polzin in 1996 and we built a house in Flint. I then worked at Cislo Title Company for 3 years and built a house in Grand Blanc. In 1999 we had a son-Garrett-he is now 2 1/2 and boy is he a lot of work. I quit my job and decided to stay home to take care of Garrett. I was just missing to much in his life. Garrett is enrolled in a PAT program, which has been a blast for both of us. On our spare time I spend it with my girlfriends and my sister-Jamie. The only people I really stay in contact with is Jamie (Bossenberger)Tindall, Paul Laidler, Amy Nelson. I was really bummed when our class reunion was cancelled. So if anyone wants to get together-lets try.

I graduated from Michigan State in 1995 with a BS in Chemical Engineering. I am living in L.A., California, where I am a Project Engineer for M&M Mars-Kal Kan Foods, Inc. In 1997, I married my college sweetheart, Marty. I graduated in 1999 with my MBA from Pepperdine University. Well, things have changed since my first posting. We relocated to Huntington Beach and enjoy living by the ocean. I do have to say that I miss seeing my family in Lapeer (just not in January!!!). Especially since on February 22, 2001, we had a beautiful baby boy named Taylor. He is a wonderful addition to our family and we are so in love with him. Each day is an exciting adventure. Where has time gone! I moved to Florida in December of 1990, then to Orlando in 1993. I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1995 with a BS in Business Administration, with a focus in Human Resources. I work for the City of Orlando as a Compensation Manager and have been there for over 3 years, not counting my 8 month internship there. I've been married for over 3 years to Brandon whom I met through a friend in January 1995 while working at Wal-Mart as the Department Manager of Pets (just a job to get me through school!). He owns a landscape company and loves board sports (wakeboarding, snowboarding, skateboarding). We do not have any kids, just our pets: Neva (6 yr/old Rottweiler), TC (5 yr/old male cat, he's used 4 of his lives already!) and Peaches (4 yr/old female cat). Glad to see everyone is doing so well! HI All. I guess there are so many other "in touch" websites out there to connect, but decided to stick with the Lapeer West alumni site. Not many posts on this site, please, start spreading the word to re-post. I have been married now for almost 17 years. Three kids, Corall is 16, Bryan is 14 and Wyatt is 3. That's right, 11 years apart, but one of the best things I've ever done. I work for Fair Play games (www.fairplaygames.com) and am able to take Wyatt to work with me wich is the best. I received my associates in arts from Mott, and will hopefully be returning to Saginaw Vally for my bachelors. Still married to Dan from Lapeer West (1985). We love to travel, especially love Colorado. Keep in touch

Quick update: I am still living in Cleveland and was married in March of this past year to Armon Means. I am still currently working at Case Western Reserve University in Alumni Relations. I have been running off and on and am planning on doing some 5K's again this fall. Would like to do a marathon once just to say I did it . . . Feel free to e-mail me at maw13@cwru.edu.
