Bach, Travis | 4/11/2001 at 8:26:17 PM | I am currently working at Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. In Gaffney, SC. I live in Ellenboro, NC, but will not get into the whole NC/SC issue. I am a design engineer who happens to be designing school busses, and actually have some on order for Lapeer Co. schools. I have lived in NC since mid 1993, where I first started working at a place that make automated equipment for the brick industry. I then resided in Asheville, NC. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats a 15ft python to keep me busy along with the 9 months of mowing lawns. I have been mowing since the first week in March, not that you all are interested. But NC's growing season really makes some beautiful areas. Hope to see some of you at the reunion.
(Herrington)Berryman, Jenny | 12/15/2000 at 9:37:29 PM | After graduation I lived with my grandparents for a year and a half in Indiana and worked in the book-keeping department at a bank. On May 16, 1992 I married Dennis Berryman, 1985 grad of Davison. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree at Mott Community College and then went on to Michigan State to study Speech Pathology & Audiology....didn't finish. Dennis and I have two daughters, Rebecca (5) and Lydia (2 - in January). I had been a secretary for many years, but gave that up just over a year ago when we moved from Davison to El Paso. TX. The weather is great and we have mountains in our backyard! Can't beat that! My husband works across the border in Juarez, Mexico and I now wish I'd taken Spanish in high school....we're learning, but it's a slow process when you get old!
(Patten) Bickmann, Kendra | Dec 5, 2008 at 09:30:12 | Hi...Currently I'm living in Imlay City. I just had my second child in August. My boys are 10 years apart! I've been married 11 years, and now a stay-at-home mom. I was working at Bishop Kelley for four years as the preschool aide until Sam came along. Now we just hang out at home. :)
Burd, Matthew | 6/25/2002 at 12:34:12 PM | Hey All!!! Greetings from the city that never sleeps. I moved to New York City five years ago after getting out of the Navy. I was an F-14 mechanic and served in the Gulf War (What a joke that was, but don't get me started!). While stationed in San Deigo I met my wife, Christine, and we now have two terror children. My Daughter, Taylor, just turned 5. My son, Ryan is a year and a half now. I now know why our parents always said "I can't wait untill you have kids of your own."!! Work wise I've done just about everything mechanical out there. I started out customizing trucks in Lapeer. I was lucky and got myself into an aerospace plant in Lake Orion as an Assembly Engineer, but soon after my wife's mother got sick and we moved to the Big Apple to take care of her. My first job here was as an auto mechanic in a small garage. I got sick of watching the place rip people off and went hunting for a "real" job. Next I dabbled in robotic automation as a Assembly Engineer agian, but I had to satisfiy my Aerospace calling and went back to work in another shop here (always searching for that something better). That place SUCKED big time, and one day I walked out. I had gotten up enough in the ranks to see alot of the unsafe stuff that goes on in Aerospace and I couldn't in good mind keep working in an enviroment that I was growing more fearful of everyday. Needless to say I avoid flying as much as possible after everything I've seen over the years.Once agian Luck smiled on me and I got a call from an Elevator company here in the Bronx. I think I've found a place I can stay awile now. I design elevators for projects all over the world. In fact I did the elevators for the new Tiger Stadium!Other than that I keep busy. I played amature hockey at Chelese Piers (got to play with Micheal J. Fox before he got sick) but the abuse I've taken over the years finally caught up and my back couldn't take it anymore. So I went back to my roots and started fishing agian. You may remember that when we had those dress up days at school and for "your favorite sport day" I wore waders and a fishing vest!! I am now a part-time fishing guide here on the east coast, Boy was I suprised to find that fishing here is better than anywhere else I've been! Go figure, New York City, who'd a thought!! Another neat thing is I got to see the West Band play at Carnige Hall and ran into some of the staff from West that still reconized me.To my disappointment I'm getting a little fat, My theory is that once a guy has kids, this sends a signal to his brain that his job here is done, and your body goes to crap. Loosing my hair too. Rogaine, what a joke. All in all, I am becoming more and more like the grown up I never wanted to be.UPDATE:I've been meaning to update this since 9/11, just havn't been able to think of what to say.I think of growing up in Michigan, going to school, and how New York City seemed like such a far off place. One that existed only on TV or in movies. I look back at what I wrote before and how positive and happy it seems. Things sure have changed since "it" happened."Only in New York" has taken on new meaning. I had alot of friends at WTC, my work took me there and in that nieghborhood several time a week. I was in the south tower the night before. Its amazing but nobody I was close too was lost. Even my friend Jean, that was on the 84th floor. Its been almost 10 months. They are still having funerals and memorials, they just finished cleaning up the debris. There is now nothing but a big hole where one of my favorite places in the world used to be.I'll be coming back to Lapeer in a couple of weeks, first time home since 9/11. I'm wondering how much has changed back in Lapeer? I know that it can't compare to here, I kind of hope that nothing has changed.....I could use some stability.

Centofanti, Domenic "Nick" | 7/14/2001 at 1:46:58 PM | I was pleasantly surprised to read so many of my female classmates staying home with their kids! That's awesome! After HS I attended art school and received my BFA from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit in photography. I used to come home on the weekends during school to work as a waiter at E.G. Nick's...where I met my soulmate. When I first layed my eyes on the woman who would train me, it was (here it comes) "love at first sight", and I new I would marry her (I know, it's sickning ;) Her name then was Danielle Denomme (a LE grad in 1991). It was a match straight from God that has blessed me ever since. We married in 1994 and bought our first home in Madison Heights, MI. I worked for a fashion photographer doing shoots for magazines like the New York Times, Redbook, Men's Health, and my wife worked full-time as well. We were newly married and enjoying each other in a more "urban" lifestyle much different from our Lapeer upbringing. I bounced around quite a bit feeling out the waters of my chosen field. I worked at a graphic design firm in Royal Oak for a year as a sales rep./art director/media buyer/photographer and travelled to Chicago often on business (my biggest client was there). From there I worked at a studio in Troy, MI shooting everything from TV commercials to "widgets". I also started my photojournalism career freelancing for area newspapers, which is where my "true love" (vocationally speaking) lies. In 1997 we bought our second home in Lovely Lapeer to be closer to both of our very dear families. I worked for the Tri-County Times in Fenton, MI for four years until 2000. I quit after a very exciting stay and for the past year or so, I've been working exclusively on my own as a full-time freelance photographer(Domenic Centofanti Photography - (810) 675-4746). Danielle and I have been blessed with two beautiful children, Isabella Grace, 2, and Gavin Riley (3 months) and are happily married and very much in love with one another. We attend CornerStone Christian Fellowship in downtown Lapeer and love our church family as our own. I play drums on our worship team and thoroughly enjoy it! I wish now that I took band in high school, instead of made fun of them. We try to take life day-by-day and not rush this precious time with our kids. It's great to read these and hear how each one of my classmates/friends are doing. And I can't believe how much I've been writing, so I'll stop now. My email is photoweb@tir.com and I'd love to hear from as many of you as possible. God Bless...
(Connell)Connell, Cindy | 2/7/2001 at 8:57:32 PM | I have finally met "Mr. Right" after all these years!!! I am getting married in September of this year. I spent 8 years of my life with whom I thought was the right guy, but found out after we had 2 children together that he wasn't. My kids are the best....my son is 7 and his name is Garrett and my daughter is 3, her name is Hannah. We moved in with my fiance' in January of this year, down in Holly...boy, what a change from the lovely town of Lapeer. It is hard to get used to living down here, this is like city living!!! We are making a great adjustment though. We are selling the house and buying something bigger with more room for the kids. I would love to hear from any of you. I check my mail everyday, so e-mail me and let me know how things are. cfc@tir.com Take care all!!!
Davenport, Mike | 10/23/2000 at 9:21:46 PM | After graduation I went to Michigan Tech and roomed with Travis Bach for four years. I loved college and hated to grow up, but did so anyway in 1993 with a BS in engineering, and later followed with my MS from Oakland Univ. I moved back to Lapeer for a couple of years and lived on Barnes Lake. In 1995 I married Sharon, moved to Goodrich, and started working for Chrysler. In 1997 our son Joshua was born, and year and a half later our daughter Kennedy followed. In 1999 we moved to Oakville, Ontario - a suburb of Toronto. We love it here, Toronto is great, I play hockey every week and the beer has flavor. We plan on staying here another year or two, and will eventually settle back in Goodrich. Keevin's idea of a 12 year reunion this summer sounds great, hope to see all of you there.
(Wolfe) DeBroske, Rachelle | Nov 2, 2007 at 12:02:34 | Hi all! Since graduating I have stayed in Michigan. I had a home in Mio on the AuSable River. I sold that in 2006 and bought a home in Lapeer. Can't believe I came back! I was in the mortgage industry and was laid off in Aug 2007. I now have an exciting career at Bath and Body Works as a Sales Associate.
Doak, Richard | 10/21/2000 at 5:26:16 PM | Hi yall. Since everyone says I have a country accent now. Just moved back to Mi this year of 2000. Spent four years serving the USAF. In 96 I separated and found a job in computers with a bank. Funny part is I hated computers at West. I spent the last six years living in VirginiaBeach, but I actually lived out of a hotel for 9 months of each those years. My latest work with a governement and the Department of State contract kept me on the road. I am single because of all the travel, but I do not regret anywhere I have been. I live in Rochester Hills now and work in Auburn Hills at Volkswagen as the Information Technology Manager. Much less travel yeah! Ran into some of the old crew when I returned, and recieved my first drinking buzz in forever. Still looking for a few of the others. I will be attending Oakland University next semester to complete a Masters in Computer Engineering. Give me a shout! Do not know anyone down here and looking at getting out of the house and having fun. Hey I am single I can do that! Always checking email.

Edgette, Mike | 11/12/2002 at 6:56:03 PM | UPDATE-- This has been a long time coming since my last input. After reading everyones activities, I am proud of all the accomplishments that we all have had over the years from WEST. I am still living in North Carolina. I moved down here from a previous job relocation. That job wanted me to relocate to Chicago, but I decided to take my chances here in North Carolina. Were I decided to start from the bottom again. I started working for Wal-Mart (A supercenter) in the produce department. Just under a year I was asked to go into Management. I decided to go for it, and now I work all the time (at least that is what my wife says). Working with Wal-Mart might allow me to move back to Michigan some day. Even-though I know Lapeer is getting a Wal-Mart Supercenter. Drop me a line if you want, I'm sometimes slow to respond, but I will, maedgette@wmconnect.com

(vance) ferguson, barb | Jun 5, 2006 at 07:41:20 | I sure was surprised to find this site while playing on the net. Looks like it's not very current but thought I'd add my 2 cents anyway. I'm married now to Scott Ferguson, some of you might remember his brother Matt Ferguson from the class of '89. (They're nothing alike) and we have two wonderful kids, my daughter, kaitlin Marie (12 going on 20), and my adorable hellion, Logan James, who will be three in July. After letting him beg me for a couple of years I let my hubby talk me into moving to Texas, so in Nov. of 05 we packed up the kiddies and drove cross country. We bought a nice (but old) house and are in the process of fixing it up. We definitly do not have the same tastes when it comes to decorating but I am confident that he will see everything my way and we will have a lovely home. I found a job in Waco working for an insanely busy doctors office and except for being teased unmercifully about my accent (what accent?) I couldn't ask for a better place to work. It was great hearing how well y'all are doing and I hope I hear from some of you. I'll check in the near future to see if there's anything new. Bye for now.
Findley, Jeff | 2/10/2000 at 10:43:22 PM | Since graduating I moved to Wisconsin, in which I married a girl I met in Daytona. My wife Jennifer, we just married in May 1999, my step-daughter Emily, my daughter Marihya, and the newest addition to the Findley clan, Aaron. He was born in November of 1999. Currently I am the manager of three departments; Visa, Collections, and Compliance. In June 1997, Scott and I were married. We have no children as of yet. Much of our time is occupied with remodeling our home in Auburn Hills. Scott and I have done a lot of traveling in the past several years, much of which has been for backpacking in the national parks. We have been to the Smokies, Rockies, Glacier National Park, White Mountains, and several sights around Michigan. Our next big adventure begins in two weeks from today. We are off to the great state of Alaska for two weeks. Although we will not be backpakcing, we will be going to Mt. McKinley and Denali National Park. Adventures will come in the form of kayaking, white water rafting (class III and IV rapids), horseback riding, hiking, and whatever else we can find to do. We look forward to seeing all of you on June 16th!!

(Moriarity)Kowitz, Shannon | 12/29/2002 at 5:34:49 AM | OK, I've been reading these since the website was established. I guess its time...Let's see, I graduated from Mott University(HA HA)with an associates in Gerontology. I only went there because it was free if I played volleyball for them. Worked in that profession for about 8 years before meeting my twin in a male (I know it sounds scary), his name is Scott and he graduated from Millington in 88 and went to CMU on a track scholarship. He is a salesman for Joseph Chevrolet in Millington. We had a baby girl 19 months ago, her name is Grace Catherine. Thus, I had a career change. I now work primarily from home for Flagstar Bank as a mortgage loan officer. We built a home just outside of Millington (in Otisville)about 2 years ago. I am coaching Varsity Volleyball for Millington. I guess you could say I turned into a bumpkin. I also have an 11 year old step-daughter named Taylor. She is about a half an inch shorter than I am now, I can't wait until she hits 6'2"! It is so nice to hear that so many of you are happy in life. I know I am! I see exactly four people from Lapeer, Anne Fox(Goss), Mikki Marston, Heather Nagy, and Marci Eberle. I actually bowl on a league in Lapeer with the first three! Uh Oh, I have a golf membership too! Does that mean we're getting old? Well I've rambled enough. Drop a line if you care to. God Bless.
(Robinson) LaBarge, Lisa | May 4, 2009 at 08:00:06 | Hi all! It was great to read about everyones success. I married in 1992 to a 1990 graduate, Donald LaBarge. We are happily married and loving life. Good luck and take care.
(Landry) Landry, Michelle | Jun, 2004 at 02:03:15 | Never married, no children, happily single, two cats. After graduating, I moved to Maryland with my then fiance, Stuart. I returned to Michigan to attend Specs Howard. Upon my graduation, I moved to New Jersey and worked on-air at a Philadelphia radio station. I attended film school in Florida. My favorite radio job was when I was at WJR. My least favorite job was working (briefly) with Danny Bonaduce. I returned to college in 2001, and will have my Bachelor degree in Mass Communications by the end of 2005. In addition to being a full-time student, I do voice-work from my home studio. I work with two talent agencies in Chicago. It is quite possible you have heard me sing/speak in radio/television commercials. I spent March 2004 in Australia. It was so beautiful there, I almost did not come back. I have also spent long periods of time in Montreal, Quebec, and Great Britain. After I receive my degree in 2005, I plan to move to New York or Chicago to focus more on voice acting. I am working on my first screenplay, as well as an audio documentary for "This American Life" which is broadcast on National Public Radio (NPR).
Lane, Bill | Sep 26, 2008 at 10:21:00 | Sept '08 Update: I'm living in Omaha Nebraska now. This should be my last assignment and I'll probably retire from the Air Force here in the next 3-4 years. I haven't been back to see my family in Michigan for a while and was thinking about a trip next year. That just happens to coincide with our 20 yr point...anyone know if a reunion is going to be planned? If so, drop me a line and I'll try to line up my vacation with that so I can knock both out. Hope all is going well with everyone else, take care. Hello, I was surfing around, came across the lapeer west webpage and was surprised to see everyone listed. So, I figured I'd post my info. I joined the air force shortly after graduating and have been in for the past 13 years now. I met my wife while stationed in Nebraska 10 years ago and have a 6 yr old daughter and 4 yr old son. I've recently got my degree in education from the university of southern mississippi and received a commission as a lieutenant. I've travelled around alot over the years, visiting places like south korea, guam, qatar and various stateside locations. I currently live in great falls, montana and will probably spend the next 3 years here before moving on. I come back to michigan occasionally to visit family, but otherwise haven't been able to keep in contact with anyone. I'd be intrested in getting together for a 15 yr reunion, so if anyone hears anything, let me know. take care and drop me a line sometime.
(Eddy) Lang, Dayna | Jan 22, 2007 at 19:02:08 | I've been married for 14 years to Tom Lang. He's a great man except that he's an MSU grad and lifelong fan! UGH!! My son, Drew, is 10 and sides with his Dad. My daughter, Christine, is 13 and sides with me; We say, "Go Blue!" I got my Master's in Secondary Education from U of M, Ann Arbor, in June 2005. Immediately after, I was hired by Canton High School to teach Language Arts. I love it, but it is a time consuming profession. When I'm not teaching, I'm hanging with family and friends, or being a taxi for my children. My daughter dances, does pom pon, and is often in local plays. My son plays basketball and guitar. They are quite smart and talented. I absolutely love watching them do their thing as they develop into great people. We travel a lot in the summer because I'm off from teaching, and my husband is a freelance Public Relations executive. We feel very fortunate to have fairly flexible schedules. My greatest stress in life is grappling with the fact that my daughter is about to be a freshman in high school! How did this happen?! Others tell me I will survive but hormones, boys, and driver's training are on the horizon. How does anyone survive that? LOL. For those of you who feel my pain, best wishes. I hope to be laughing about the journey 10 years from now.
Laten, Tammy | Jan 28, 2009 at 11:17:08 | Own a cleaning buisness taking care of my three kids and his three the brady bunch.
Leuck, Jared | Feb 23, 2009 at 10:16:07 | Graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint in 1993 and began teaching band and choir in Kearsley that same year. Currently, I'm teaching choir in Swartz Creek, MI. Have been teaching music for 16 years now. I am married to Andrea who teaches choir at Swartz Creek Middle School. We have three girls, Rachel, Hannah, and Lydia. I'm pursuing my Master's degree in Theology.
Lowe, Paul | 6/11/2001 at 10:51:30 PM | Sorry to have been such a stranger all these years. After graduation I got my BSE in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineeringfrom U of M. I roomed for three years with James Chitty (LWH '88). My first two jobs were with Engineering firms in New York City, where I met my wife Kelly in 1994. We married in 1997, just before moving to Houston, TX. I now work for a Marine classification Society (sort of a regulatory body for ships and offshore structures). I have been working on my MBA for the past three years at the University of Houston and will finish in December (2001). We areplanning on moving back to New York after I finish my degree. Our son, Jonathon, was born in January 2000, we missed the century(not really) baby by 7 days. Since March of 2000 we have managed to lose $170,000 on the stock market :-(, but I'm confident we will get back to where we were eventually. Hopefully I will be able to make it to the 15 year reunion, I'd like to see everyone again.
Malcolm, James | 1/25/2000 at 7:38:25 PM | The things you find on the web at 2:00a.m. I've lived in Fort Lauderdale and worked in emergency services as a firefighter-paramedic for the last six years, but I'm thinking about a career change. Single, no kids. I had about as much fun in college as I did in high school, no offense meant, but I pulled off honors once or twice. My e-mail is MalcolmJ71@cs.com, when I left Lapeer, I really left, I'd like to hear how things have gone for everybody else.
(Rescoe) Marz, Dawn | Aug 4, 2009 at 08:46:18 | I graduated from CMU in 93' with a liberal arts degree. Was going to be a teacher but decided I didn't enjoy it. I worked a number of different jobs until decided being a full time mom was where I was happiest. I have been married for 11 years. 2 daughters Dakota(9) and Keira (6). Keira was born with Down Syndrome, which is what prompted me to quit working and be a stay at home Mom. Last December I got my daycare provider license and am currently running a daycare out of my home and love it. I finally found something I enjoy, it only took me 20 years. We bought our dream house 6 years ago and live in Jenison, Mi. I am on facebook and it's great seeing everyone and how everyone is doing. Hope everyone is having as great a life as I am and maybe see ya at the 20 year. Take care all.
McIntosh, Erin | Sep 9, 2004 at 04:59:56 | Thought it was about time I update this deal...I graduated from WMU in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fashion Merchandising (no lie - a Bachelor of Science). Since Jenni Willis (Miller) took her sweet time graduating from Western, I decided to pack up the car and head to Dayton, OH...for maybe a year, 3 years later, I finally left!! I decided that Dayton was not the place for me and it was either move back to MI or go somewhere else. I chose 'Somewhere else'. I packed up the car again (and a u-haul trailer) in 1996 and headed south to Charlotte, NC. Best decision I ever made. I love it. I still make it North about once a year to see family and friends. I've been a Project Manager w/the same company since 1999. I spec and install Warehouse Management Systems throughout the country. Went from a fashion geek to a computer geek overnight! ;) I am still single, but only technically, as I finally found my Prince Charming. I'd reckon a ring and a weddin' are right around the corner...I also have 2 cats - as my friends say, "I'm one short of a spinster", good thing I found that Prince. ;) OK - so we need a 20th reunion that's not a picnic. A regular proper reunion, w/food and drink and dancing...I'll get working on that (I also plan all our company functions, so I know how to throw a party).....Until then....
(Palmer) Mehta, Valerie | Apr 4, 2005 at 13:05:59 | Thanks to everyone who took the time to post something. It is great to hear about your lives. It is interesting to know that Matt Byrd was in NYC on 9/11, Nick plays the drums in his Church's band, Vicki B. had her first daughter and Harlan is a family man! Frankly, it is good just to hear that you're alive & well. As for me, I got married in '98. I'm a professor at OU. For those of you who know my sister, Jen, she has a 2 and 1/2 year old boy. Oops, maybe I should mention she's married too (not that it's a big deal otherwise--). Best wishes to everyone.
Mills, Michael | 8/7/2001 at 10:57:06 PM | Wow, it's been so long! I just discovered this site. Well, I graduated West Point in '93, served my required 5 years in the Army stationed at Ft. Carson, CO and decided to become a civilian again in April of 1998. Army life, ultimately, wasn't what I wanted to do forever. Since then I have been a sales rep for a surgical instrument company based out of Germany called Karl Storz Endoscopy. I cover the NW Ohio area and live just outside of Toledo, OH. I love my job and hope to do it forever. I wish I had known about the reunion. I married Katina Schmidt in Dec '94 and we just had our first child, Abigail, in June of 2001. We are quite happy and would love to hear from anyone who cares to drop us a line! Best wishes to all!
(Fernald)Mills, Stephanie | 5/12/2001 at 12:39:36 PM | Hey everyone, I can't believe it's been 12 years already. It's been a lot of fun reading about what everyone has been up to. I, have been living in Greenville, North Carolina for six years now and yes, to most of you I do have an accent. I found Mr. Right here in the South. My husband Tracy and I have been married for three years now and have a two year old son, Logan. We spend our time between Greenville, where I am a Customer Service Rep with East Carolina Farm Credit, and the beach (Moore Head City), where Tracy is a Commercial Fisherman. I don't come back to Michigan much these days because all of my immediate family, minus one sister, have moved within five miles of me. I have to say I don't miss the snow and cold but do miss seeing the faces of old friends. I hope everyone continues to do well and be happy with what life brings. I would love to here from any of you.

(ZAHNOW) OLAND, DIANA | Jul, 2004 at 20:25:38 | Hi all! Thoguht I would update. It has been awhile, that is for sure. Everything is still pretty much the same. Just a few differences. I have been married to my best friend for almost 5 years now. I have 4 children, the twins (Kara and Catrina) are 11, Cynthia is 3, and (fianlly)my son is 20 months. I work for the State of Michigan. It s a living. Really I do enjoy my job, it is however much more stressfull than being a Mom. (thought I would never be able to say that one.) I have had some difficult times this past year. I was diagnosed with MS last summer, and now take shots for that. Can you believe this one, I now get to take "drugs" to help me to stay awake. No-Doze? Nope, not strong enough the doctor says!!!! Anyway, I am doing well with this course of medicine. Just a few adjustments in life is all. Anyway, hope to see you all in August.

(Van Brocklin) Pender, Amy L. | Dec 22, 2005 at 00:42:05 | So much has happened in my life, you'll have to read the short version. My husband and I are Ham Radio operators and our three children (from previous marriages) are growing like weeds. I'm an IT Administrator by day and have a long list of hobbies by night... depending on how tired I am at the end of the day (quilting, crochet, ham radio, crafts w/ kids, or email).
Petroskey, Jenna | 4/23/2001 at 6:30:26 PM | I graduated in 1994 from Ferris with a BS in Technical Communication. I currently work as a technical writer for SDRC, an engineering software company. The company is based in Cincinnati, but I work in Dearborn, developing online update training for Ford, our biggest customer. I am still happily single with no kids (I'm far too "young" to settle down). Jenny Scrimger (now Jenny Ziegler) is still my best friend, so I guess its true that some things never change. I'm looking forward to June 16 and seeing everybody again, although that "MIA" list looks a little intimidating. Any amateur Sherlock Holmes out there?

Post, Brian | 3/3/2001 at 1:37:43 AM | Hello everyone! Well, after graduation I spent some time in school in the local area and I couldn't decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. So, I enlisted in the Navy hoping to clear my mind and have a few adventures along the way. After the service, I moved back to Michigan and enrolled at NMU in Marquette(U.P.) and earned a B.S. in cytology. More recently, I finished a 12 month practicum in cytology at the Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin and moved back to this great state to start a new position in the cytology dept. at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. On Feb. 14th of this year (in Las Vegas), I was married to an extraordinary woman named Laurie. We are expecting our first "little one" this fall and the radiologist said that it looks like a girl so we are keeping our fingers crossed. This parenting thing seems a bit scary but I think that we are ready for the challenge. Well, that's the short version so if you'd like to hit the golf ball around, play some HOCKEY, or just chat about the past, present, or future just write. Bye!
Roebuck, John | 7/6/2000 at 3:31:28 PM | This year Heather and I celebrated our 8th anniversery. We currently live in Auburn Hills. I received my MSN last year and work as a Nurse Anesthetist at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. We have been trying see as much of the world as we can before starting our family. I was amazed that you don't fall off of the horizon at the state line. I would love to hear from any of my classmates.
(Ivory) Ross, Sara | Feb 27, 2006 at 15:18:17 | I am giving an update by creating a new record because after 4 children my memory is slipping! I don't know what I used for a user name and password 7 years ago. Ed and I have been married since Aug 95 and have Katie 8yr, Ian 7yr, Anna 5yr and Emily 3yr. Ed is a Youth Pastor and stay at home Dad and I work full time for MI Dept of Agriculture with the TB program (since April, 2000). We live in Atlanta...half way between Gaylord and Alpena...no accent here. We get to Hadley about every other month to see family. I saw Michelle Townsend Spiecher in Oct who lives in Texas once again.
Sanders, Terry | Jun 16, 2007 at 08:49:53 | Hello everyone! Presently I am working on dual bachelors degrees at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I own and operate a custom metal fabrication shop, making everything from ATV accessories to custom roll bars for vehicles. I married in 1995 at the time I was the proud father of my one and a half year old daughter, Kaylee. I got divorced in 2003 and got custody of my daughter in 2004. She is 13 this year and the light of my life! I know I kind of fell off the planet for awhile but I'm back! I plan on vacationing in MI around the last two weeks of July,2007. I would love to catch up with anyone interested! Email me! Terry
(Townsend)Speicher, Michelle | 4/27/2001 at 9:50:19 PM | Hi everyone. I graduated in '93 from Michigan State in Nursing. I am headed back there this summer for my MBA. I am married to a wonderful man and have three kids: Kevin (8), Rhianna (3) and Tommy (3). Yes, twins. I haven't sat down in those 3 years. I work at Saint Marys in Saginaw as the Nurse Manager for the Cardivascular Intensive Care Units. I live in Birch Run and previously had lived 4 years in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The only thing I brought back to Michgian besides my family is my love for the Dallas Stars. Please don't hate me RedWing fans. I can't wait to see everyone for our 12year reunion.
Stafne, Eric | 5/3/2001 at 3:30:20 PM | After graduation I went to MSU and got a BS in Forestry. From there I spent 2 years in the Peace Corps in Senegal, West Africa. Didn't know what I wanted to do after that so I was a substitute teacher at LW for a year. Decided that teaching was not for me (at least at the high school level) and went on to the University of Arkansas where I got an MS in Horticulture. In 1999 I moved to Florida, started work with the USDA-ARS (Agricultural Research Service)at the Sugarcane Field Station, got married in May 2000 (Tony Stark came to the wedding), then decided to come back to Arkansas and get a PhD in Horticulture. Am currently working as a Research Specialist in the Horticulture Department and taking classes toward the PhD -- will finish sometime in the next 5 years (that sounds so far away but really it isn't).
(Campbell)Stough, Tracey | 2/24/2002 at 10:48:27 AM | I,ve been married for 11 years to a great guy(and 85 LWHS grad). We live in Warren, and have no kids by choice, but have 2 cats, and 2dogs that we spoil! Life is good, very relaxing, and very comfortable.
(Tong)Stump, Julie | 11/9/2000 at 4:18:13 PM | Wow ! I guess you really can find everything on the web. How is everyone ? I'm doing pretty good. I married Andy Stump about a year after high school and we just celebrated our 10 year anniversary. We have 3 kids, a girl - Lexi (8), and two boys - Jack (6) and Noah (4). They are fabulous. Aside from that, I have taken a few college courses here and there and am looking forward to graduating sometime this millenium, but I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Maybe someday, when I'm forty or so.... for now I am happy being a full time wife and mother. I hope everyone else is doing well. Feel free to e-mail me if the spirit grabs ya.
(Monville)Timmer, Dana | 5/6/2004 at 5:53:45 PM | Hey guys-it's been nice to see so many updates to the site. I haven't checked it in quite a while. I'll update, but the general info for me remains the same...I got my BS from WMU in '93 and my MA from CMU in '94. My degree is in audiology (diagnosing and treating hearing impairment). After graduation I married Scott Timmer (we met at WMU) and he "dragged me" to Chillicothe, Ohio (50 miles south of Columbus) where we've been for nearly 10 years now. Our daughter, Jamie was born in April '98, and started kindergarten this year. I work 1 1/2 days a week for a local ENT surgeon. The biggest drama for us was my diagnosis of Hodgkin's lymphoma in April 2002. I went through chemo most of that summer without achieving a remisson. In May/June 2003, I had a stem cell transplant and am happy to report good results so far. They say the next 6 or 8 months are critical ones so we're praying hard and having fun. I'm feeling really good and have a chic short hair-do! We hope to make it to the reunion this August. Drop me a line!
(Monville) Timmer, Dana | Apr 23, 2009 at 13:21:36 | It's tough to condense a life into 100 words or less! I am currently living in Richmond, VA with my hubby (Scott) of nearly 15 years and my kids (Jamie,11, and Matthew, 3). We moved here last summer after almost 14 years in Ohio. I hope to eventually return to work as an audiologist (WMU '93, CMU '94), but for now I'm home full time with my kids and enjoying it (most days!). We're enjoying exploring the east coast (especially the beach!) and we get back to Michigan at least a few times a year. At this point, no plans to move back--we're happy to "visit" the snow and leave it behind!
Van Leuven, Bob | 12/21/2002 at 5:30:17 AM | When I was talking with Keevin he mentioned this website. It was great to read how everyone is doing. Well, after west, I went to WMU for 6 long years. I changed My major 3 times and never did graduate.(but had alot of fun). During that time I had a close call with the marriage thing. That didnt work so in 1995 I moved to Atlanta, Georgia. I spent 2 years working for a Small Mortgage Company and at the same time enjoyed the atlanta night life... I finally got my act together and graduated from the police academy in 1997. I've been a police officer with Dekalb county for 5 years. It is a metropolitan police department with over 800 officers. I thoroughly enjoy it.(I've seen alot of crazy things). In 1999 I met my love, Laura. She worked for an Apartment Community where I lived. We got married in October of 2000. We bought a home in the burbs of Atlanta. Our daughter Mackenzie was born in June of 2002. She is our joy!!!I hope to see everyone at the 15 year reunion...Until then be safe and look me up if you come thru Hotlanta!

Watmuff, Mitch | Jan 23, 2007 at 15:20:19 | Well, I glad to read that most of you have found God and success in your personal lives. Sounds like the majority have had a pretty good go of it. If it wasn't for God I don't believe I would be here typing this now. A short overview for those who care to read on. In Jan. 90 I almost lost my life to a fith of Jack Daniels and a flight of stairs. Reputured appendix dam near killed me. After my near death exsperience and a couple of go nowhere jobs I returned to school. I went back to Vo-tech and took up metal machining. Had a pretty good run at it for about 5 years. In June 95 after a nasty break-up with my then girlfriend. I T boned a car on my Harley doing 60 Bitch run a stop sign ( Honestly, I never seen him ). Lucky for me all I totaled was my bike and not myself spent the better part of the next year rebuilding myself and the bike. Only suffered a broken left arm. Nice settlement check not worth the pain and misery. For those that wonder yes I still ride. Had another go nowhere job for about 7 years making money for someone else and taking it from behind with a smile on my face. I have been more places then I care to list. Some with grand memories and someplaces I'd like to forget. Many vacations in the Florida Keys, Traveled on a sailboat in the Bahama's for a little while. Float thru Lapeer once in a great while. (Mom still lives there otherwise I'd stay away) Jan 200? woke up one day in my early 30's and performed surgery on myself. Bent over and removed my head from my rearend and decided I needed a career. So I spun the big wheel of life and decided stripping wasn't for me figured I'd probably starve before I made my first million. Instead I choose to persue a career working on power lines. I'm very soon to be a Journeyman Lineman and enjoying my new found career. So the next time your power goes out it could be me turning it back on if your located in Michigan. I have also done Hurricane work in Florida & Texas. I current live in northeastern Michigan. Came up for the weekend and found my best friend and soul mate. Been up here ever since. So the next time any of you flatlanders find yourself in northeast michigan you may find me. But don't count on it. Just remember one thing in Life. Never drive faster then your gaurdian angel can fly. May you find happiness in whatever you do. Mitch

It was hard at first but now I do not think my husband will ever get me back to work. I live in Troy, Michigan. I feel very at home here. Email if you would like ... I'd love to hear from you all. |
(Miller)Willis, Jenni | 10/14/2000 at 10:14:00 PM | Hello everyone! I am updating my info after Erin told me that my life story sounded much too dull to be true. After highschool and my summer of packing pickles at Valasic with Jenny (Helsom) Crandall, I attended Western Michigan University with Erin McIntosh who served as my roommate/drinking buddy. (College is now a big blur...Heee Hee!) My first big job out of school was as a waitress at Ruby Tuesdays where I met my new beer drinking buddy, my husband Corey. A year later we shacked up and I landed a job working for a chemical company at a couple of GM plants in Flint. Corey and I tied the knot in Vegas in 1997 and no, Elvis did not walk me down the isle(he wasn't available). We purchased a home in the College Cultural ' hood in Flint(south of Mott) in '97 also. Three years later I have a new job selling industrial filtration media to the automobile industry and Corey lays ceramic tile for a living. We have two furry children(kitties) Farley and Alley that keep us parentally content for the time being. Thanks for sneaking a peak at my life! See ya!
