8-7-06 OK update time. Summer is coming to an end, and I have to get back to work. I moved out of Lapeer, though I still work there. I recently got married, which is why I missed the reunion. I'm living in Clarkston now with my wife (man, that seems strange to type) and new daughter. So I'm sitting at home during another snowday and thought I'd update this file. I Teach English, Social Studies, and technologies for Lapeer Community High School at Woodside. I also just got done updating the school website. You can find the link off the lapeerschool.org website. I completed my MS in integrating technology into curriculum and distance learning at Nova Southeastern University in 2002. Count me among the many who never thought they'd come back to Lapeer, yet alone end up living here, but for those of you who have been away for a few years, boy has it changed... though it still lacks culture. It's a great place to be when you're in your (late) 30s though.

Hi everyone, I just thought I would update my record. I now have two little girls. Grace who is 8 months and Olivia Rose who is 3 years. To those of you who I has the pleasure of seeing at the Reunion, I hope to do it again soon. I am still working for the state, and working on going back to school in the fall, maybe. I'm kind of enjoying watching my kids grow, no matter how much we fight. I never win. My wife Shannon is from Lapeer also she graduated in 1993 from Lapeer West. I still associate with James Webber and Tina (Dunavant)Koyl on a regular basis. If anyone ever gets bored please feel free to contact us. We are never very far.

I married my husband, Rick, in 1996 in Gatlinburg, TN, after meeting him via the personal ads of the Oakland Press. He's originally from Saginaw. We still live in Dayton, Ohio and have been here for 9 years. We built a house in 2003 in a new subdivision with tons of kids. Brock is 7 1/2 and will be a second grader. Logan is 6 1/2 and will be a first grader. My stepdaughter, Courtney is 15 and will be sophomore. She lives nearby and we see her frequently. I still work for U. S. Probation in Dayton, as a Probation Clerk Specialist. I gave up my clerical business due to the kids being very active in sports. I would eventually like to get back into journalism, doing some freelance writing. I am gathering names, addresses, emails of classmates for our 20 year reunion. If you are in contact with anyone, PLEASE have them email me at jan_delisle@yahoo.com, or call me at (937) 475-3897. If your address/phone/email has changed since the last reunion, please contact me. Hope to see you at the 20th!!!

Wow it is weird to think back and see how far I have come to this point. I married John Diehl and we have been married since April 1988. John and I have 6 kids as of now. Colleen 12, Caleb 8, Austin 5, Joseph 2 in half, And Twin boys at 9 months old,Samuel and Scott, they do not look alike at all. I breastfeed them both on demand. I love being a stay at home mom and taking care of my kids. I do cloth diapers with my twins and am in the midst of potty training my 2 yr. old. I do find it a challenge and rewarding at times being a Mother and wife, but would not do any thing else. We had been going to Mount Hope Grand Blanc for 10 years, until God told us it was time to move on and help start anther church. We live in New Hudson, Michigan, We are helping to start a Church in Ann Arbor, I run the nursury, The Church is doing great. John does Dry Wall sanding and loves it and makes good money at it. He is a wonderful husband and father. God is good and he helps us all the time! I hope every one is doing well. I would love to here from any one if you want to email me, I love to email back when I can. I love to get on the computer when I get a chance, and I really like to workout and exercise when I can. Well I am a stay at home Mom of 8 kids, and a wife. Colleen almost 17, Caleb close to 13, Austin-10, Joseph-7, Twins boys,Sam&Scott-5 Olivia Pearl-2 in half Laura Rose is 1yr.old,the baby and the last. John Diehl and I have been married now for 18 years,it does't seem that long. Have lived in New Hudson,Mi for 10 years now and he has been weilding again for the last 4 years. We are still going to Church in Ann Arbor and love it. As you can see I have 8 kids and the last 2 are girls, the girls are just a little spoiled after having 5 boys in a row! I am finding life a little more of a challenge at times these days and try to make the best of it. Every day is different and not the same, we do Home School and try to make the best of every day. Life has not been easy for me but I have learned a lot,I have had to go down some bumpy roads that I did not really want to or like to but feel that has helped me to grow, and to be a better person and that is what has helped me change for the best. I try to put God above and know he helps. Thanks,Marie Diehl

Hey there, Currently, I'm working with an agency called the Day Care Action Council of Illinois based in Chicago. I'm a trainer, but at the present moment we are in the middle of a hiring freeze (since November of last year to be exact). So, in the meantime, me and my other co-trainers are working on putting together a resource room for the employees. It's been an interesting 15 years since graduation. I'm still pretty active in music and am participating in 2 rock bands in the Chicago area currently. My most recent event will be playing the Northwest Music Festival in Portland, Oregon...alos playing the Folsom Street Fest In San Francisco at the end of the month (Sept 2003). Still single and not necessarily looking. Go ahead and check out my website!Tim

Well, Mark and I have been happily married for almost 10 years now... boy, where has the time gone? We won't even discuss how long we've actually been together (makes us feel old!) We have two wonderful boys, Riley-5 and Jake-3 which keep us on our toes. Constantly arguing who the kids take after, I say Mark. Anyone that knows Mark and the boys agree with me! After living in England and Germany for nearly 5 years, we are back in Michigan. We moved into our house in Brighton in February and are having fun doing all the "new house" work. We are enjoying having the McKernans and Wisners (Krissy Dunn) as "neighbors". Mark is working for Visteon (formerly of Ford) and I am able to be a stay-at-home Mom which is wonderful. Looking forward to attending the 15-year class reunion.

After moving around place to place, from New york to California, experiencing life and meeting so many interesting people, I've settled down back here in michigan. Ironically it happens to be less than a block from Pontiac General Hospital, the place where I was born. So you might say after all that I've seen and after all the places I've gone, I ended up back where I started, so technically I haven't got that far in life, but the times I shared with those incredibly special people and the times I spent watching the sea and the skys and the marvels it holds, leaves me feeling grateful that I have those memories. To the same effect I am grateful to the memories I have of the people of the Class of '86, some of which I spent 13 years of school, little baseball and Fourth of July's with. I sometimes dream of those times in the halls of our schools. I hope to be at the next reunion and hope to have a special reunion with those that went K-12 grade together. In the meantime I'll probably continue estimating home improvements, finish art school, play on the computer,(that's all I did in Mr. Walker's computer science class anyways), and go fishing any chance I get. My phone # is 248-335-6420, 31 Evelyn Court, Pontiac, MI 48341. Anybody can call or write, I'd love to hear from you.

My husband and I had an idea eight years ago for an internet start-up company. We thought we would have customers put items up for auction on the internet. Little or no overhead--just information. It's a darn good thing we didn't follow through on that. For the past ten years, I have been a teacher. Ironically, the school that I am teaching at consistanly vies with Lapeer West for the wrestling state championship. Married Larry seven years ago. At the urging of my students, we decicded to become foster parents. Fostering lead to adopting our two oldest children--Ronnie, 5; Richard, 3. We had our youngest last May--Riley. I hope this finds everyone well and happy.

I'm busy working as an Engineering Manager for a safety restraints company in Auburn Hills, MI. I recently got my Masters degree in Engineering Mgmt. from Oakland University. My wife, Tracey, and I live in Oxford with our three kids, Lyndsey (6), Joe (4), and Clare (2). The kids pretty much dictate what I do in my free time, although I try to sneak in a little golf every now and then. Anybody out there know the where abouts of Marc Shull??

I have been happily married for 6 years to my husband Tim. We have two wonderful children Zachary, 4, and Courtney, 3. After moving around a few times (Troy, Clinton Twp., Richmond, Hadley), we had a house built in Chesterfield, Michigan. We live about a mile from Lake St. Clair. I completed my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and have been teaching for 7 years in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. I have taught kindergarten and first grade and next year I will move to fourth grade. I love having my summers off to be with my family. We like to go camping and to the zoo.

Dare I join the pantheon of the twenty-one? Here it is in a nutshell: I'm currently serving 15-20 in Marquette, for a bad decision I made in 1987. No, actually I am passing my days in a quiet suburb of Detroit. I am married, am the father of twin daughters, and am employed as a teacher. My years of passage from graduation to manhood are filled with many tales of joy and intrigue. Don't be confused by my new last name. When the Flint River got too crowded, I started to haunt points north. My time in the Boundary Waters/Quetico Canoe Areas lead me to a new last name. To hear the rest of the story of my life as an Homme du Norde, you'll have to attend the fifteen year reunion.

I live in Lapeer. I have two wonderful boys. They are now 15 and 12. I am divorced from Don Laidler. We were married for 15 years. I am now currently single and have come to realize that it is not too bad. I would say that I am living a part of life I have never had before. I keep things pretty light and have fun in everything that I do. I an Account Manager for a staffing facility. I love my job and my life. Life has been pretty good to me in the past few years. I have been very fortunate for good friends and family.

I studied at University of Michigan after I graduated from Lapeer West. Afterwards, I moved to Lansing, Michigan where my husband, whom I had met at UM, was now attending graduate school at MSU. I also continued my education specializing in Photography. I have been a freelance photographer now for over 15 years, mostly working on print advertising, photojournalism and personal work, but last year, I added movies to my list. For the past year, I have been working and traveling between Michigan and Los Angeles as a still photographer for feature films and this summer I am making my debute as a director of Photography on my first feature. I love LA, working on films, traveling and documenting my travels, but I still photojournalism is in my blood and someday, I will be working for National Geographic.

I went to MSU and graduated with a BS in engineering. For two summers during college, I interned at Kraft Foods (I made macaroni and cheese and margarine!) and then ended up at their Research and Development Center in Glenview, IL after graduating from MSU. In 1989, during the first internship I met my husband Doug. I worked for Kraft for about three years. It took me about that long to get tired to making food products, so I quit and went back to school at the University of Chicago. During graduate school, I had our first son Steven (born 1997). In 2000, I finished my doctorate in Education, specializing in Statistics and Measurement. I did a post-doc at the National Opinion Research Center in Chicago for a couple of years. Then in 2002, I started as a professor at Michigan State University in the College of Education. We had our second son, Thomas, in 2002. We live in East Lansing.

Hi Gang! It has been a long time since we have been in touch! As far my current activities... Let's just say that I haven't quite settled down yet. I am still single (and looking), and I am currently residing in Ortonville. I work in Auburn Hills doing silk screen printing for car shows, and such. We provide the awards for the Autorama's and World of Wheels shows throughout the United States. Some of you may have seen me perform at the Lapeer Days Festivals several years ago. I taught and performed clogging and line dancing for about 10 years. I also started being a DJ a couple of years ago, and I loved doing it so much that I bought the business. It is called, THE LYNCH MOB DJ's. If you or anyone else is looking to hire one for weddings, parties or REUNIONS, don't hesitate to contact me. I would love to be of service! I will be attending our next class reunion, so I hope to reacquaint myself with some old friends. In the meantime, please feel free to call or email me to keep in touch. My number is 248-627-5769, and my NEW email address is cwbyboot@earthlink.net

After high school I completed my Finance degree at Central Michigan and moved immediately to South Florida where I have worked in the Accounting field ever since. I married my wife Allison in '97 and have a daughter Samantha who is 2 1/2 and a second due in January '03. Briefly moved back to the Detroit area in winter of '98 but left after 3 months (the Florida sun thinned my blood because I could not get warm!). Back for good in Florida and enjoy being a father and husband. Have not been back to Lapeer though since '91 and I am sure it has changed....Good luck to everyone.

Hello everyone! Wow! It has been 20 years since I have seen or heard from most if not all of you!! Our reunion is quickly approaching and this year I am planning on attending. I am doing well and very happy. After high school, I ended up going to Ferris State (which many of the Lapeerites did back then) and got a degree in Criminal Justice...then decided to try the jet setting mode and do some traveling from Europe for a month to around the country and landed in Colorado for a few years. Then...as a lot of you experienced...Michigan came a calling. I ended back here (Flint) and worked for Genesee County for 5 years as a juvenile probation officer while getting my masters degree at MSU (Go STATE!). I got married (6 years this Saturday - April 29th) to my husband Eric. We have two kids (Ty - 4 and Annika - 2). Some of you may have seen us on the news or in the paper, she was the new years baby of 2004 in Genesee County(our 15 minutes of fame). We currently live in Goodrich where my husband is a teacher (with Jim Rice) and I work for Oakland County as a supervisor in Community Corrections (to explain what I do would take way too long for me to describe). Looking forward to seeing you all in the next few months!! If anyone wants to, you can reach me at petersonkar@co.oakland.mi.us

After 25 years of enduring the Michigan winters, I'm now living in Fort Walton Beach, FL, right on the Gulf of Mexico. Having been chewed up by the University of Michigan, I was spit out into the world with a B.A. in Economics. Luckily, I couldn't find a job that I was qualified for other than fry engineer. Tired of the cold and with no prospects, I enrolled at Florida State University. A year and a half later I graduated with my B.S. in Computer Science and I now work for a defense contractor writing super duper, top secret, MJ-12 clearance only software. Actually, my work isn't classified, but they still make me take drug tests. I've been married for five years and have zero children because that's how many I want right now. Maybe I'll have some when I grow up. I head up to the County about twice a year to visit family and remind myself why I left. Just so you know, you are allowed to leave Michigan. You don't have to live in that crappy weather. Just don't come to Florida. We already have too many Yankees here. :) If you are interested in visiting the Gulf of Mexico, give me a holler and I'll check to see if we have any hurricanes on the way. You can reach me at poniatow@eglin.af.mil. One more thing, Dawn, I had a huge crush on you when I was in 10th grade. I apologize for not asking you out and causing your love to be unrequited. I hope you've moved on and good luck in the future. :) Hehe!!

Greetings one and all. I really enjoyed our 15 yr. reunion and looking forward to the 20. I just hope more can make it next time. After graduation I went into the Army for a couple of years. During that time I spent time in El Paso, TX and a few months in Germany. My high school sweet-heart, Kim Sizemore, and future wife joined me in Texas and she began her college education. After returning to MI in '89 I returned to my old high school job and began my college education. During the following 10 yrs. Kim began her teaching career in Carman Ainsworth, we had our first of three children, and I finally completed my degree and began teaching in Goodrich. We have both since obtained our Masters and live in Flushing with our children, Montana Dawn 10, Hunter 5, and Scout 2. I would like to say that I have kept in contact with many, but unfortunately this is not the case. Hopefully to alleviate this I would invite anyone that would like to contact me, please feel free to do so. You can email me at jrice@goodrich.k12.mi.us. Hope to see everyone at the 20.

I am a mortgage banker/broker for Allied Mortgage Capital Corp. serving Saginaw, Bay and Midland counties. "As one of the nations largest lenders, we offer every kind of home loan you can dream of." <------Free Plug:) I live just outside of Frankenmuth, this allows me to milk my name for several advantages in my business relationships. I married Jennifer Hewitt, of the Davison Hewwitts', in umm... uhh???, a few years ago. Don't tell her I forgot our anniversary date. All I know is that I have served 4 and a half years of a life sentance with NO chance of early parole:) Jenny and I have two children; Megan, who is 3 1/2 going on 12, is a firecracker full of spunk and attitude..... just like her mother and Kyle Anton Rupprecht, of the Lapeer Rupprechts', who just turned two yesterday. My mother once laid a curse upon me hopeing that I would one day have a child that acted just like me. In the past I had just brushed it off as an old woman rambling just to hear herself speak, but now I am truely afraid. You can see it in his eyes. I think he can take me.

Hello. After graduating from the University of Michigan in 1990 with a degree in Economics and Political Science, I moved to D.C. for 5 years working as an economist. That is where I met my beautiful wife (Laura). In 1995, we got married and moved to Ann Arbor so that I could get my MBA from the University of Michigan (GO BLUE!). Upon graduation in 1997, I accepted a job as a Sr. Financial Analyst for Intel and we moved to Chandler, AZ. In 4/2000, I was promoted to Finance Manager and moved to Colorado Springs, CO. We had our first child (Ethan) on 6/13/00 and I really enjoy being a dad. Now you know where to find me Jon.

Hello to everyone. After graduation from West I attended college and obtained an Associate Degree in Business. I married my wonderful husband David in 1992 and we have two beautiful daughters, Bethany and Lindsay. We lived in Davison for several years and now live in Otisville. I am fortunate to be able to stay at home to raise my girls, but I look forward to someday working outside the home once again. I hope this finds everyone healthy and happy. Take Care

After high school I went to Eastern Michigan University and received a degree in creative writing. I then moved to Portland Oregon for awhile and worked as a Bartender. I received my Masters degree in Information Library Science at Wayne State University. I worked for the Ann Arbor District Library for nine years in various departments, then I went to work for Baker College of Jackson as a Reference Librarian, and currently I manage a library in Jackson Michigan. I live in the Grass Lake area with my boyfriend Dave. Sorry, nothing too exciting.

I have been happily married for 9 1/2 years to John Stanley also a graduate of LWHS, class of 80. We have a 6 yr. old son. It's great being a mother and a wife. Can't believe it's been 16 years since graduation. How time flies when you are out in the real world. I work from home and spend time at school with my son. I'm glad my schedule allows for this to happen, 'cause they grow up so fast. Hello to all my classmates.

I have been married to Rich Walker (class of 1984) since Sept. 1986. We have 3 daugther: ages 13, 11, & 6. I just graduated from Davenport University (formerly DCB) for Medical Office Management. I am working in a family practice clinic in Lake Orion. My oldest daughter is going into 9th grade and attends Lapeer West. It is so weird to go in there now. The kids look so young! Walking the halls brings back so many memories. I am amazed at how many kids roam the halls during class time, and the staff just starts conversations with them. I don't remember the halls being so busy, and we certainly had to answer for why we weren't in class. Boy, how things have changed! I see Ma Kerr every once in a while, she looks the same. I had a lot of fun at the reunion this year! I can't believe how many people looked the same after 15 years.

Unfortunately I'm looking again and who knows where I might be, life is full of so many surprises!! I'm the fly by the seat of my pants kind of gal, so if you want to contact me just send me a note at P.O. Box 163 Oxford, MI 48371 I would love to hear from you. :)

Hi you guys. I was pretty much a loser in high school, so most of you probably don't even know me.I played coronet in band and was in the marching band, if that helps jog your memory any. After graduation I went to Pontiac Business Institute and got a degree in the clerical field (haven't used it in years)I worked for a chiropractor for a while. I dated several guys after high school and in 1989 decided it was time to get serious. My dad passed away from a heart attack in May of that year. I was seeing a wonderful man named Chuck. We met at church where he is the organist/pianist. We were married in August of 1990. We have been extremly happy. Currently we are living in Burton. We have two girls, Emely is 9 and Ashlee is 8. I work part-time at the Mcdonald's down the street. This allows me to be home with the girls when they are home, which I enjoy. My husband works for vg's food center as their network administrator. We spend our time camping and being involved at the church. We are in the bell choir there. Guess that is my life in a nut shell since we left.
