Oh my gosh I can't believe we had any reunions. I thought maybe we were a bunch of losers. I guess I just didn't get any of the news. Anyways hi I'm so glad my sister Debbie told me about this site. ( I'm computor illiterate ) My kids have to help me. Oh yeah, lets start at the beginning. I got married in "86" He's a great guy, think I'll keep him, moved to Florida "87", had 3 kids. Sharon 17, Shane 15, and Shyanne 11. They are great kids. My husband Allen and I owned a restuarant for 5 years and then moved on, we were never home with the kids. I am now working in an assissted living facility and love it. We try to get back to Michigan every Summer. I live in Orlando. Would really love to hear from anyone. Hey some of you need to really update your stuff, alot has probably happened since 2000. Take care 84. Please let me know when we have another reunion.

I can't believe I'm in my thirties now! Where does the time go? After graduation, I moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado for about a year to waste some time and figure out what I really wanted to do with my life. HA! Like that worked! I joined the service and spent 9 years active. I moved to Southern California and lived there for about 6 years. I moved again in 1989 to the Chicago area and have been here since. I guess I just have to have all four seasons.I was married for a while and I have a son, Ian and a daughter, Brittney. Nowdays, I work for the government in the Occupational health and safety field. It would be good to hear from any of you. I lost touch with almost everyone since I left Michigan. Take care everyone and be good to each other!

Great to see a number of you are doing well. My history: 7 years at Oxford IGA right out of Highschool (started as bag boy and ended as Store Assnt Mgr.) Then is was off to OCC to learn a skilled trade. OK change of plans...metalergy...no, geology...no, mathmatics...OK, Mechanical engineering. After my 3 year stint there it was off to Mich Tech on a scholarship!! 3 oustanding years of living in what I call heaven on earth (the location of the school NOT the school), I graduated July of 98. I have been married for 3 years to Beautiful Julie and have two girls, ages 3 and 3 mos. Sarah and Andrea now occupy most of my spare time. I now can only tinker on my Vette late into the weekend nights. I now reside in Livonia and work at Collins & Aikman in Troy as a Program Manager.I keep in touch somewhat with a few people like Mike McDonald, Dave Nordquist, Mike Deitering, Terry Jock (grad after us). If there is/was a 20 year reunion I am interested.

Hello! Haven't kept in touch with anyone in some time! I'm living in Hazleton, PA and working for Con-Way Central Express (CCX) as a Terminal Manager in Wilkes-Barre, PA (Northeastern, PA). After graduation from the Univeristy of Michigan in 1990, I joined CCX at their corporate office as an Inside Sales Rep. Two years later, I got married to Kathy Goodfellow (Vassar, MI) and moved with the company to Allentown, PA (an hour north of Philadelphia)as an Account Executive. Kathy & I have three children (Steven (12/95), Bridget (4/97) & Jonah (11/01). In 1996, I became Terminal Manager at a small facility in Pottsville, PA. And in January 2000, I moved to a much larger terminal in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area. Who knows where I'll go from here! We still get back to Michigan once or twice a year to see our families, but mainly we enjoy vacationing to New England or the Southeastern states. If anyone knows how to get ahold of Tom Knotts, please E-Mail me!

HI Folks! It's nice to read up on what everyone has been up to. After getting a BBA from U of M Flint in '89 I got married (or at least I thought so), 'til it ended the Monday after our Ten year class reunion in October of '94. A couple of years later I found my way back to THE CHURCH, got my act together and eventually met the woman of my dreams(Michele). While she wasn't looking, I married her and we now have two (starter set) beautiful children, Alexander 5 and Abigail 2. I've been working for Gordon Food Service as a Sales rep for 12 and a half years. I now specialize in healthcare accounts in Southwest Detroit area and live in Canton. Enough about me, lets talk about our next CLASS REUNION!!!! If you are interested in helping out please contact me via email at bmaboehmer@msn.com, or my work email bboehmer@gfs.com or my home phone...well lets just stick w/email for now! Looking foward to hearing from you with names and addresses!! Take care. brian

After graduation I joined the United States Marine Corps. After touring the world and fighting wars I finished my tour of duty by spending a year in Okinawa,Japan. Upon my return to the U.S. I found my way back to Lapeer and began working for a small roofing company in Rochester Hills. In 1995 I married my wonderful wife Rene'(who also works for the roofing company), and had two beautiful children; Austin 4 years, and Haley Rose 1-1/2 years old. I've traveled all over the United States with this roofing company, which was recently bought out by a Florida based company, and now we are part of the largest roofing company in North America. Along the way I've taken our company's softball team to two championships. I also enjoy traveling Michigan for the Gus Macker basketball tournaments. I can't wait to see everyone at the next class reunion. P.S. Kevin is still around and doing well.

Hello, Hello...here we are a few years removed from our glorious graduation. I have finally retired from the US Army after 22.8 years of service and am glad that it is over. I am currently living in Clarksville, TN but will be moving once I settle on the tract of land I want (this will be in TN still). Retirement is great and I can do whatever I want and do not have to worry about someone else's little quirks. I hope that all of you are doing great and enjoying life since graduation, take care and have a great New Year. Todd

I am curerntly working at Garden City Hospital as the Coordinator for Cardiac Rehabilitation and Christie is an RN at POH Medical Center in Pontiac. We live in Waterford. Hi Everyone. I have been wondering what happenend to everyone. I have been living in Alberta Canada for the past 13 years. I have been married for 10 years and have two beautiful girls Shelby (8) and Karly (4). I work for the Edmonton Sun newspaper as a District Manager of Circulation which is a job that I can do out of my home. That part I love so I can be here for the kids. I also am working my way through photography with a goal of eventually owning my own small business some day but for now it is just a fun hobby. Still keeping very active in sports. Playing volleyball, tennis and mixed slow-pitch. The main thing that keeps me sane is running. Something I took up about three years ago and ended up running two marathons the same year. Of course the races are in the summer which means training is in the winter. My first long run of 10 miles was in January with a temp of -35. I made it through the full 26 miles and have been running ever since. We spend the rest of our winter skiing in Banff and Jasper. In spite of what everyone must think about Canada and the cold weather, it is a beautiful country. Would love to hear from any of you. Sounds like everyone is doing well and is happy. Best to Everyone in 2000!!!

Hi there. Nice to finally find something like this!! Well, after I graduated, I started at UM, but couldn't get into it then. I got married, had 2 great kids, and life went on. To make a long story short, I got bored with life, started school again, am now single, and things have never been better. I work at McLaren as an RN. I graduated in 1998, and I love every minute of it. I now live in Davison with my 2 kids, real close to home. I can't really complain at all about how life turned out. Of course, these days jsut watching the kids learn and grow is a real hoot. Life is good! Never ever thought I'd be able to say that. Later Tater!!!

Married in '88 - two wonderful boys (Joseph - just graduated from West and Michael - entering West this fall!) - divorced in '96. Married in '98 to Donald Hill (Class of '76). If you ever come through Hadley you'll see him walking our "daughter" Topanga (120 lb Great Dane). Working for Lapeer County Bank & Trust for 22 years, currently as the Deerfield Branch Officer. Active with Elba Twp. Fire Dept. Auxiliary and bowling. I would love to hear from anyone that has time - that always seems to be in short supply - but hey - it's not that long until retirement, right? Take care!

The short story: Graduated from Hurley Med. Cntr. School of Nursing in 1987 (RN) Worked at U of M Med. Cntr., University of Virginia Med. Cntr., a few private hospitals, and most recently a long-term care facility. Married Keith, a GMI grad. in 1991, had five children, Alyssa-12, Christi-10, Joseph-9, Jeremy-6, and Patrick-4. We spent years "growing the family" in Richmond, Virginia, and Maple Grove, Minnesota (suburb of Minneapolis) and finally returned to Michigan (greater Grand Rapids) this June ('05). I am taking the summer off before returning to the workforce. The five kids keep me busy, and we watch a lot of kids' soccer, baseball, volleyball, hockey, etc. I have to be laid back to do this! I still manage to find time to keep in shape. I'd love to hear from anyone who wants to say hi!

Hello everyone. It's been a long time since I have kept up with any of you, so this site was pretty interesting. Anyhow, after graduation I went to Ferris for there golf program but decided I would rather play than work the game, so after two years I transferred to Central and received my degree in Accounting (what the heck was I thinking!!!) After college I started work for Marathon Oil in Findlay, OH where I met my wife. I have been lucky to be married to a wonderful woman for 13 years and have two great kids Sara-12 and Ben-10 to keep my days exciting. We were moved by Marathon to Houston, TX where I switched careers into the Natural Gas Trading business (can you say Enron). Well after four companies and moves to Midland, Mi and then back to Houston I am still doing the same type of work, but we are living in Traverse City, MI. Things have gone well and been a little more exciting than I had planned. It's good to be back in the state and I look forward to catching up with you all at our 20th (boy that went fast!) reunion. Take care and send me an e-mail if you get a chance.

Hi guys. It has been three years since my first entry, so lets try an update (the original info follows this message). I am still married to Lial, 16 years now. We finally made a move out of the city and are now in Goodrich, about 1/2 SE of Flint. I have a 45-minute commute and loving every minute of it..just to get out of the city. We are conveniently located next to Lapeer and Oakland Counties, which is a good thing since I still work for the Oakland County Circuit Court. I have been there 10 years now and still counting down the last 5 years 'til retirement! I finally received my Assoc. Summer '03 and just began my BBA. Should receive that by Spring 2005. I may go for my Master's, but one degree at a time. I still have a little before retirement:) My husband 'retired' from working two years ago and has been a full time student at U of M-Flint, OCC, and Mott. Now that we're going, we'd like to 'crash course" it! And NO, I definately would not recommend this form of study to anyone. Being at home has privileged my husband to life as a housewife. He taxi's the kids, does the laundry and meets me at the door when I get home:) He's a great guy and though I tease him daily that he's not funny (gotta keep that ego down to size), he keeps me laughing, always. I still take life too seriously and he does what he can to take that away. Seriously though, he's more man now than ever! For my kids, Justin is now 16, Derrik 12, and Jessie/Jennie are 6. If nothing else, THAT makes me old! I guess it doesn't hurt that I just turned 39, too. Ugh! Can you believe it!?!?!!? My email addresses haven't changed. You can still reaach me @ srmiller_64@yahoo.com OR millersr@co.oakland.mi.us. PLEASE try one of them..they can't work if you don't try. and I promise to respond to others. Somebody asked about Jenny Harris. I have thought of her myself, but have no clue of her whereabouts. I'd also like to know of any tragedies that the class has faced over the years. I know of a few students that we have sadly lost, but only a few. Well, here's to a successful 20th. If my help is needed, then don't hesitate to ask! I'm offering...(original message follows)...After graduation I spent a couple years as a Nanny in Davison and in Bloomfield Hills. I then moved to Genesee for a short time to be with my boyfriend. We married in the spring of 1989 & had our first son in the fall of that year. Justin is now 11. I was a stay home mom for a couple of years until I had our second son, Derrik-9. Just shy of Derrik's 1st birthday, I went to work in retail for about 7 years. I loved it, but it didn't pay what I needed. I found a couple of clerical type jobs for the experience. I later became employed (1995) with the 6th Circuit Court in Pontiac. I deal with individuals that have been caught dealing in criminal activity (politically titled, but otherwise known as criminals). Anyway, I work in the collections department (collecting court ordered fees). My husband, Lial (long I; short a) is an accomplished machinist in Oxford, and is a talented artist on the side. We have since (1997) had twin girls, Jessica & Jennifer (they turned 3 09/00). I missed the last reunion, but look forward to the next one. Work brought us to the city, but we are making a move back to the country. It is great to read up on those that have found this site, and it was fun to read about each of you. I hope that you will send me a note. millesr@co.oakland.mi.us or srmiller_64@yahoo.com..Until the next time...

Hi everyone. Since graduation I've received my Bachelor's Degree from U-M Flint in accounting. While in college I worked for several professors. In 1988 I worked for a local Flint insurance agency as a customer service rep. Changing jobs a few times I worked in a security office and a powder coating facility working various office assignments. Now I'm working for GM in Swartz Creek, MI (just west of Flint) as a processing supervisor. Ulitizing the education advantages from GM, I'm currently studying for my Master's Degree and working on AutoCad classes. I'm hoping when I grow up I'll be an industrial engineer for GM. I've been married since 1989 to a wonderful man, Bill. He's helped me through thick and thin since graduation. Together we enjoy riding our Harley Davidson motorcycles across town and across America and Canada. We've riden all across the 48 states plus most of Canada by Harley's in less than 10 years. We are still planning more advantures. My brother, Chris, is doing well. He now lives outside of North Branch and is married with 2 boys. Also I keep in touch with Mike Whitman. He currently lives in Nashville, TN with wife and 4 kids doing well.

Hi Everyone! Wow, how time has flown!!! Well, I'd like to think I'm where I'm supposed to be in life, but looking at these bios I think I have some catching up to do... After graduation my family moved to Sterling Heights and I went to work doing almost everything imagineable - bowling alley cocktail waitress, retail, auto parts assembly - anything to avoid the 9 to 5 grind. Eventually, working holidays & weekends cured my fear of life in a cubicle and now I'm the executive assistant at the Advisor & Source Newspapers in Utica and have been there for 13 years. I married for the second time in Sept. '99 and my husband Rob is wonderful! He's definitely my 'better half'- kind, loving, Christian and just nuts enough to put up with me. He's a Marketing & Sales Consultant for Yamaha Corp. Band & Orchestral Division. We are living in New Baltimore, MI & have no little ones yet, but we keep praying... We have a dog and two cats though... spoiled rotten, all of them! I keep busy with oil painting, church vocal choir, church flute choir, boating, & volunteer work. Noel Haas & I just did the AVON Breast Cancer 3-day walk in May '02. It was incredible & exhausting, both physically and emotionally. Sixty miles in three days!!! Then out of 3,515 other walkers, I ran in to Paula Repshinska on the route - it was great to see an old classmate out there! I haven't made it to a reunion yet, but I will someday... In the meantime, drop a line and say "Hi!" You can find me at: jaaisthorpe@yahoo.com

We moved off the Island January of 1994, via snowmobile, trailer and Ice bridge what an expierence. We moved to a great little town 20 Miles north of Traverse City, Elk Rapids, MI. Hi. After high school I went to Oakland University and graduated with a degree in Finance. I worked at General Motors right after college. I married Steve in 1990 and we have 2 wonderful daughters Alexa, 8 and Brenna, 4. We moved to Japan in 1998 due to Steve's job with GM and moved back in 2000. Quite a culture shock but it was a great experience. I have not gone back to work but am keeping busy by volunteering at my daughters' schools, decorating our new house, exercising and spending time with family and friends. And these past few months have been especially crazy because in February my daughter Alexa was downhill skiing, crashed into a tree, broke her femur, had to have surgery and then got pneumonia in the hospital. She was in a wheelchair for quite a few weeks. But she had the pins removed yesterday and will be as good as new in a few weeks. We currently live in Macomb Township, Michigan. I still keep in touch with Lori Gupta (Angle) and Tonya Reber (Boven) and my brother, Bob, of course. I would love to hear from you!!

WOW!!! This is a great way to stay up on where everyone is at. As for myself after graduation I went on to Western Michigan University and received my Bachelor's degree in Communications. (I always loved to talk alot) While I was there I met the man of my dreams Dave. We were married in '91 and went on to have three children.( Trae-8yrs-boy)(Thane-6 yrs-boy)(Tierra- 4yrs-girl). We lived in Allen Park, which is a suburb of Detroit, then in '95 we moved to Marshall, MI where we are still living. We moved here and started a bussiness. It is a franchise called "Big Apple Bagels. We sold it in Dec.'99. I am so glad to hear everyone is doing so well, it doesn't surprise me though we always had the best group of people in our class!!! I still stay in touch with a few people from our class, but hopefully more now with this at our fingertips. As for the class reunion; we have had both a 5yr and a 10 yr. which were both sucessful, but always hopeing for a better turnout at the next one. Now that we have this way of contacting people it will make it much better. Please tell everyone that you talk to to visit this site, so we can continue to grow. Hope to hear from EVERYONE. Even if it is just a HELLO. Take Care and please keep this site updated. Thanks!!!!

New update from a class of 84, since the last time I wrote, my children have gotten older. Emily is 17 and Andrew is 12, which is really great. Still living in Elon, NC and still married to Connie (Colley). Reading Tim Stayman's post I realized I left out some "to do before I died" listings so here goes: I was at Game 4 in Washington DC in 1998 to see the Wings win the CUP. I was at game 3 in Raleigh, NC to see the Wings win and eventually secure the cup in 2002. Game 7 in 2006 to see the Hurricanes win the cup over Edmonton. Also drove the autobahn at ungodly speeds. Seen the last game at the Forum in Montreal, and owned a Porsche 928 for several awesome years. Currently playing roller hockey with a few other Lapeer West Alums, Bill Ostrander (brother-moved to NC in 2007) and Tim Reeser who has been down here for at least 10 years. You all give me a holler when you come down to the Carolinas!

Here I go...5000 words or less, right? I went to Western for a year and a half before I realized I really didn't want to become a DR (studied Bio-Med), just wanted the income. I went back to Lapeer where I married Valerie Wagner. Although the marriage didn't work out (can you say maturity check) I was rewarded with 2 sons, Patrick who is now nearing his 13th birthday (9/20/87), and Calvin who is 11 (5/10/89). Both kids are playing hockey, surprise. Calvin playing in the Michigan National Hockey League (AAA) which is the highest level of play in US/Canada. The team travels to cities like Pittsburgh, Chicago, Cleveland, among others including Ontario. NHLers from MI have come through this league. Patrick is also playing at the travel level, a little more limited mostly Michigan based, and excelling. He has a special talent, he can score. Led his team to the state semi's last year losing to the eventual champs. Both kids are blessed with talent, yet are very humble, makes me proud. The only drawback is that they are about to pass me in ability, they are way better than I ever was, I am still bigger though! (perhaps the 127 games they played last year could be a drawback, depending on your take) I remarried in 1997. My wife, Amy, is a gradeschool teacher. We will be working on having children this summer (2000). Business life could not be better, after spending 9+ years trapped in the car sales business, I purchased a Management Recruiters franchise where we recruit for automotive engineering talent,as well as IT. I also fell in with a guy who franchises on the internet, which has been my primary focus over the past 12-15 months. The results are astounding. I have finally become an A student, in the school called life. The internet has opened up the world (this site is evidence), the future is very bright. I also was honored to be published in Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul III, for a story pertaining to that time at Western. I enjoy reading the info you all have posted and look forward to hearing from you soon, directly or via e-mail.

I am from Brazil and despite having travelled so much (I have been to 29 countries, living in 4 different ones)I can garantee you that no experience has been so special as having lived in the US (specially in Lapeer). Hello all. I thought it was time to update this. So, after spending 4 years in the Navy from 1986-1990, I persued my B.S. in Electrical Engineering, graduating from Michigan Technological University in 1999. From there I did some work with missile for a few years in Tucson, Arizona, and then did some work with weather satellites in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Leaving there in March 2002, I came back to Michigan to work on the upgrades and developement of the Abrams M1A1 and M1A2 tanks. I am also engaged to be married for the first time next year. Also in the middle of earning my MBA in accounting. Life has been very busy but now at the age of 37, I found it was time to settle down and relax. Life is great. I hope to hear from anyone that remembers me. Take care, all.

Greetings everybody. Its great to hear how the class of 84 is doing. Heres my update: I graduated from Western Michigan in 1989 with a degree in Computer Science. I lived in Ann Arbor doing database work until 1993 and then moved to Grand Haven (AKA Paradise). I now work for Herman Miller, Inc. as a software engineer. I was married for 10 years, but things didnt work out I really wasnt into planting bushes and she really wasnt into being alive.I have two great boys, ages 4 and 7 and Im awaiting the DNA test on the third (thats a joke). I now spend my summers on my boat Schroedingers Cat, salmon fishing, drinking beer and enjoying myself. In the Winter I recover, build furniture and play roller hockey. Ive accomplished 3 of the things I wanted to do before I died I ran a Marathon (Cleveland 2000, Chicago 2002), got a hole in one (17 at Bramblewood in Flint) and played 18 holes at Pebble Beach (Shot 92 from the back tees on a blustery day). If anyones in West Michigan and wants to party, drop me a line, it would be great to hear from you.

Still living in the Heartland, right outside of KCMO. Married my soulmate and we have two beautiful children who keep us on our toes. Jon and I are enjoying being parents, though we have to work in dates every once in a while. Maleah (11.05) is busy with gymnastics [she's really good at it] and has many MaNy MANY playgroup dates. Rowan (01.06) is growing into such a big boy and is such a 'little man'. I am thoroughly enamored with my children, can't believe how they fulfull our lives. I quit my job to to be a SAHM in Dec 04 and haven't regretted it once . . .well, maybe when I wanted to spend waaay too much on something frivolous . . . but they're only little once. I can go back to work when they get in school. Hope everyone else is doing well and I agree, there are lots of bios that need updated! Hope to catch everyone at at least one reunion, if I can make it home.

I am very blessed to be married to a wonderful man I met in Logic Class at U of M. We got married just after graduation. We have 2 incredible children, a girl and a boy. (Does anyone have children that aren't incredible?) I worked as a teacher just before getting married and have recently returned to teaching after doing MANY other things including working as a Reference Librarian. I would love to get a "hello" from anyone.

I am a Senior Electrical Engineer for the U.S. Army. Happily married since June '92 to Wendy ['85, Lapeer East]. We have three kids; their pics are on my web page link below. I have been working for the Army since '91 where I have spent my first 8 years developing Virtual Reality devices and applications so our soldiers can "see" and "test" future military products before we have even built anything. Squeezed in a 6-month sabbatical at the Pentagon and after a 10-year break from college I decided to go back to pursue my Master's in Electrical Engineering; got it and now know that I don't want a doctorate. Then I played with some of the worlds largest remote controlled toys and have invented numerous items that are now in the U.S. Army inventory. One example, you can Google "BPMTU" and if it looks military that is probably it. It is on lots of different vehicles (yes, it is patented, but I am not going to get rich with it; I patented it royalty-free for any U.S. manufacturer who puts it on U.S. military vehicles). Our main residence is in Sterling Hts., MI when I am not out of town testing equipment and blowing stuff up.
