Hello Everyone!!It's been a long time. It was nice to read about everyone. I'm sorry I missed you all at the class reunion. Out of High School I served in the Army for 4 years. I met my husband of 17 years during my time in service overseas. He's French-American. We lived in Hawaii for six years and now live near Charlotte, NC for the past 10 years. Since moving to Charlotte I finished my nursing degree, became a certified ocology nurse, and in the last year decided to slow down and became a School Nurse for one of the elementary schools close to our home. I like children and have two(3) children Pierre(12), Joelle(9), Kele(German Shepherd 17wks).We lead a very busy life... our children are involved in soccer, boy scouts, and gymnastics. So like many of you I'm a super mom. I miss you all. I sympathize with any of your losses over the years, and pray you find peace one day. Maybe I'll make it to the next reunion. Keep in touch.

Hi everyone! Since I graduated from high school in '83 I have been working non-stop. I attended Baker College for 1-1/2 years to become a paralegal but discontinued because of work. I worked for Fayette Tubular Products from 1984-1991. After being laid off, because they moved the company to another state, I started working for a printing company here in Lapeer where I am the office manager. I married my high school sweetheart (Steve) on September 29, 2001 (Yes, it did take along time!!). We have no children - just plenty of nieces and nephews. We still live in Lapeer and will probably stay here forever unless the trafffic gets any worse. Have only been to the five year reunion since graduation but will hopefully attend the 20 year. Time flies when you're having fun.

Hello everyone! After graduation I attended Uof M Flint for one year. I was then accepted at Kettering College of Medical Arts in Kettering Ohio, where I successfully obtained a A.D. in nursing. After graduation, and strting to work, I meet a wonderful man, Leon Demers, whom I married, and have been married to for 13 happy years. We have three beautiful children, Victoria 11, Carl 7, and Jacob 6. I am currently working as a nurse in a MRI clinic, mostly caring for children, whom unfortunatley have cancer, or are being diagnosed with cancer. It makes me that much more grateful to come home to my healthy family, and pray I never have to deal with any serious disease in my children. We reside in a small town in Ohio, where we have lived for the last 5 years, but probably will not be our last! Please excuse any typos... I never learned how to type, but computers are forcing me to do just that!

After high school I studied at Northern Michigan University and the Michigan Center For Japanese Studies in Hikone, Japan. I then worked for a couple of years aboard a fishing trawler in the Bering Sea--where I met my wife Angela--before accepting a position with the Japanese Ministry of Educaton (Monbusho). Angela and I lived and worked in rural northern Japan for a number of years before returning to live in the Ann Arbor area where we both now teach in area high schools (me: history; she: Spanish.) We travel when we can, spending time in Southeast Asia, China, Russia, the Middle East, Central America, and little bit of Europe.

I now live in Fenton, MI with my wonderful husband Ken. We've been married for almost ten years. I have a shetland sheepdog named Orbie, two stepchildren Travis (age 27) and Anna (age 25), along with a beautifuldaughter, Amelia Rose Gallup Glenn. Amelia Rose was born 10-10-99, and is growing faster than we can believe! I did return to my position as Nurse Midwife at Hurley Medical Center in January, 2000. I had worked with women and babies since graduating nursing school in 1987 and as a nurse midwife since 1992. In August 2000, the midwifery service was closed, and since then I have been a domestic engineer, resident gardener, and primary caregiver (a.k.a. stay-at-home mom). It has been a blessing for me and my family, and I enjoy reliving the magic of childhood through my daughter's eyes. Also, one day shy of my 38th birthday, our newest family member was born to my stepson. Baby Nora is beautiful and healthy, and I might even let her call me grandma.

I'm am currently working in a private psychiatric hospital as a Human Resources/Purchasing Assistant. I have been working here since 1994. I started off in the kitchen with the first open job available. I ended up working up to a Unit Secretary within 3 months. Within three years I ended up the Unit Secretary Coordinator in charge of 8 Unit Secretaries. When I was helping the Human Resources Director, then ended up making a position for me, to be her HR Assistant, then for job security I took over the Purchasing for the whole hospital. It is a very challenging job, but I enjoy it. I have done a varies job since high school, like working in the banking industry, dry cleaning business, bartendar/waitess, shop work, until I findally found what I enjoy must working with people.I just recently got married, April 6, 2003. I had a different wedding. I had my reception first (Saturday) and got married at 12:00 o'clock midnight. My husband is from Ubly, Michigan. He is 36 years old and had never been married and no child. We both never thought we could find someone with the same interest. We plan on having kids. We are living in Lapeer. Well I still live in the same house I have since I was 7 years. I just couldn't ever leave Lake Nepessing. I am a big NASCAR fan, I go to Charlotte NC yearly and also the Bristol, TN to the night race. I still bowl and golf. I'm pretty good at both. Just ask Tim Lorrison. He plays golf with me often, and he makes me play from the men's tee off, he comment is "you hit just a far as we do, you don't need a handicap."

Let's see the nutshell of 23 years: I waitressed at Big Boy in Oxford right after high school; thanks Dave Woodin for getting me a job. When my brother Patrick started going to Concordia college in Ann Arbor in 1985 it sounded like he was having so much fun that my sister and I joined him. Went there 2 1/2 years, had the best time and my poor grades were proof of that. 1989-1991 I travelled the whole east coast on a couple musical ministry teams for Youth Encounter. When I got off the road Youth Encounter hired me so I moved to Minneapolis, MN where they were headquartered and lived there for 7 cold, very happy fun years!!! I worked as a receptionist, speaker, trainer and director with the ministry. When my sister and her husband bought a litlle walk up window ice cream/coney dog stand and needed help I moved to Orlando, FL where they were and have been here ever since. I now work for an office equipment company as the office manager. I got married in June of 2002 and bought my first house here in December of 2002. My husband and I enjoy bowling, painting & spending time with our dogs. We have a great dane named Titan and a ridgeback mix named Serena. Some of my current addictions are Survivor, my yellow Jeep, lime flavored Tostitos, CSI (Miami & Las Vegas), iced almond lattes, the beach, losing the same 10lbs over and over, Jesus, muddin', fresh squeezed orange juice off my trees, fairies & Texas hold 'em (not necessarily in that order). My sister Shelly lives less than 2 miles from me so I love getting together with her and her family. We still own the home we grew up in on Merritt Lake in Metamora, MI so I get home at least once a year. I love Michigan and miss it all the time! PS: I never got anything on the 20 year; that stinks. PPS: What ever happened to Burr Mitchell? Also, I would love the next reunion to be with some of the classes before us and after. UPDATE: We have our house up for sale. My husband has always lived in Orlando and we are ready for a change! Destination...Michigan! I need some seasons, changing leaves, snow, the smell of fall & snowmobiling! Oh yeah, and I want to be able to swim without the risk of an alligator biting my booty!!!

I later met a wonderful man who I now have 2 more children with, also boys. Joshua 7 and Logan 5.. We are engaged to be married in the future. We live in the U.P. in a city called Calumet in the heart of "The Copper Country" It is beautiful here. Just lots of snow. As Donald said we just wish it would quit snowing. We have long snowy winters here (over 200 inches so far) It saddens me to inform the class of 83 that my brother Donald, or as most know him as Norm was killed in a car accident on January 4, 2002, Bruces crossing Michigan.

Hi. Shortly after high school Paul and I got married and moved to Oregon. We spent six wonderful years in Corvallis. We learned to ski and played a lot of softball. When Paul finished school we moved to Lansing where he took a post-doctoral position at MSU. We played some ball and took up running as a recreation. We spent many weekends traveling around the state camping and participating in races (not competitively). In 1995 Paul took a position with Dow Corning and we moved to Midland where we have been ever since. I quit work at the end of 2000 to stay at home with our daughter, Rebecca, who was born 2/13/01. Taking care of her is by far the best job I've had. In addition to Rebecca we have three large dogs. We spend the majority of our free time camping at Bass Lake near Kalkaska. I have not been to any of our reunions and I am looking really looking forward to seeing everyone in 2003.

Hello! As with everyone else, things have been pretty busy since graduation. After getting my bachelors from Michigan Tech, I began working for a small company in Marlette, MI as a Project Engineer. I am still working in the same location, but the plant is now a part of Lear Corporation, and I am the Information Systems Mgr. In the meantime, I received my MBA from Oakland U. My wife, Andrea, and I have been married for almost 8 years and have a daughter (Julia) who is nearly 2 (and I thought I was busy before I had a child! Still find time for the occasional round of golf however). We live in North Branch so its nice being able to occasionally run into some of our other classmates that also live in the area. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the 20 year reunion.

Hello, everyone! I'm sorry that I missed the 20yr. reunion--it would have been great to see everyone again. Twenty-three years since we attended West! Hard to believe. The year following graduation I married Brian Mikulski, whom I dated while in high school. Two years later we divorced. I attended Mott Community College and then St. Joseph Hospital in Flint. I acquired my degree in Radiologic Technology and moved to Petoskey, MI, for 3-1/2yrs. I worked as a tech for ~10 years & then retired from the field. I have been living in beautiful Charleston, SC, for the past 16yrs. and loving it. I have worked as a radiology tech, a bartender, a paralegal and have been working as an office administrator for a construction firm for the past 5yrs. I never remarried or had any children. I do have a dog & a cat whom I consider to be the cutest and best kids a girl could ever ask for. I welcome any e-mails from fellow classmates (c.loll@comcast.net). I look forward to hearing from you!

This time 25 years ago we were nearly a month into our senior year of high school. Now, my only child, Nick, has begun his senior year so we're consumed with the SAT, ACT, college searches, etc. For the past 20 years I've been married to Craig Miller (class of 1980). Craig has 21 years in the Army, and is stationed in Washington, D.C. with the White House Communications Agency. Not wanting to live in the District, we bought a home in Stafford, VA which is about 35 miles south; far enough away from the every-day craziness, but close enough to enjoy the culture and history. Throughout the past 20 years, we were fortunate to have been stationed in some great places: Monterey, CA; Augusta, GA; Panama, Colorado Springs, CO; and Virginia (twice). Now I keep busy as a a real estate agent with Keller Williams. I also volunteer at my son's high school, and am the treasurer for the athletic boosters. Please drop me an email if you're in the Nation's Capital, and perhaps we can meet for drinks. Hope to see you all next fall at our reunion. Check out the reunion news section of this alumni page for information and updates.

Greetings from beautiful Waterford, Michigan (we like to call it Watertucky). I have been living here with my husband of six years, Doug Winfield. He owns the Pontiac Paint Company and I work for Oakland Co. Community Mental Health Authority as a mental health clinician. I graduated from MSU in 1987, and got my masters degree in clinical psychology in 1992. I spend alot of time playing volleyball (pretty good) and golf (very badly). Doug & I also like to do alot of boating and "hanging out" with a great group of friends. I have three step-children, Tony (31), Emily (29) and Kevin (28). All three are good-looking, successful individuals. I hope everyone out there is enjoying life and look forward to seeing some old friends in 2003 at our next reunion.

Currently an Administrative Coordinator with St. Clair Community Mental Health and am a Therapist in private practice with the Center For Counsleing in New Baltimore, Mi. I recieved my bachelors degree from U of M Flilnt in 1990 and my masters degree from U of M Ann Arbor in 1996. I am currently living in Fort Gratiot, Mi., just north of Port Huron. I am married to Lonnie (Lanckton), class of 1986, and have two daughters, Katie and Lily. I rarely play basketball, and more recently into rollerblading and mountain biking, four wheelin', sailing on Lake Huron. I hardly recognized anyone at the 20 year reunion and had to check the sign at the door a couple of times to make sure I was at the right party. I think we should use the picture buttons that were used at the 5 year reunion. I still have John Clymers button from that year!! I also heard that someone is putting together a big East-West reunion and I think that is a great idea! Email me if you want to!

I'm a Nurse Manager at Glacier Hills, a skilled rehab nursing facility. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with my B.S.N. I live in Ann Arbor with my husband and our three children, ages 19, 14 and 7. It was fun going to the 20 year reunion and I look forward to the 25th! I still keep in touch with Patty Herington. We should make buttons that include our graduating picture as I definitely had some difficulty recognizing people at the 20 year!

My God, time really does fly. I partied to much after graduation and ended up getting into a little trouble. However, I've always worked my ass off,and it ended up paying off after I moved to the Seattle area in 1989. I got into the construction boom going on out here very early. After a few years of working for builders, I became one myself and have never looked back. I now develop my own properties, and either sale the land or build speculative homes. I have never married, but I have full custody of my wonderful 17 yr.old son. I just built my own home on awesome Lake Sammamish, in Sammamish, WA. We wakeboard and down hill-ski and everything in between. I am currently involved with one of the first professional female snowboarders of the late nineties, Jennifer. We have been together 6yrs. I hope you all are living life large, because damn, its short. Take care.

I lived in Baton Rouge for 15 years, but presently I live in West Monroe, Louisiana.Rarely do we get snow here, but the heat and humidity can kill you in the summer. I attended LSU in Baton Rouge for a few years, but finished my bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. I've worked as a Deputy Sheriff for East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, as a Trooper for the Louisiana State Police, and presently I am a Detective for the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office in Monroe, La. I got married in Dec. of 2004 to a beautiful woman from Texas. Everyone called me Tim, but since I left Michigan 20 years ago, people call me John. Take care and I wish y'all the best in the future.

Hi Everyone! Well right after high school I started working at Lapeer County Bank. Ray and I got married in 1984 (19 years!) I worked at the bank for 8 years and then retired to be a household engineer raising my 2 boys Logan (13) and Luke (10). In 1999 I started working at a pharmacy/health food store (weird huh?)where I am a Natural Medicine Consultant. I am studying health and nutrition, alternative medicine, CranioSacral therapy and Reiki. I really love my job. Ray is contracted with Detroit Edison where he is a General Foreman for M&J Electric. He has been doing that for 20 years. We love to snowmobile and do most of our riding in the U.P. For the past 4 years we have been building houses to sell, and last year we finally built one for ourselves in North Branch. Now we spend alot of our time putting the final touches on our house. Looking forward to the reunion!

Hi!It was great seeing many of you at the reunion, however it seemed I didn't talk to everyone I had wanted to! Since graduation from West, I received my Medical Technology degree at Ferris, worked for a few years in Lansing before moving here to Raleigh, NC where I have lived for 9 years now. I currently work for LabCorp, where I am an Associate Director in the Clinical Trials division. I love it! I have been married almost 3 years now to Robb (professor at NC State Univ) and we have a daughter, Maecy, who is 8 months...she is truly a joy!
