| 1974 | Dowling, Richard | Apr 7, 2008 at 23:03:18 | About to retire!!!! At least I'm thinking about it, only not really just looking for another carrier. After Lapeer and U of M, I left for California, for grad school. Never thought I would stay here, but three kids later and remembering those cold winter days I guess its not so bad. After five years of grad school I went into Real Estate (which you only need a high school diploma for) and have been at it ever since. My wife Katherine (we met at U of M) works with me. All our kids are grown (kinda) Pam is working on her PhD in Ohio, and Aaron just graduated with a Physics degree form Cal Poly, Nathan just graduated with a Inter-Cultural Studies degree from Biola. Finally no more school bills! (That’s why I can retire) Would love to hear from anybody who remembers me, I may not remember you but that’s just me age showing. Email: richarddowling@hotmail.com |
| 1974 | Ernst, Randy | Apr 10, 2007 at 13:31:22 | Howdy! It's "Rev" - remember me? I graduated from Hyles-Anderson College with a BS in Theology in 1980, married a gal I met there. Entered the ministry in Houston, TX where my wife was from. She left 7 years and 3 kids later. Remarried 3 years later to the love of my life, Towana - a '72 Durand grad. She had 4 kids by her bad marriage (Did anyone ever get marital counselling in the 70's?!) and I adopted her 4. Worked at GM for 6 years, bought out, went back into the ministry - still an evangelist in the Nazarene church - and added an ADN to my list, which allows me to be an RN of all things! Towana happens to be an RN, too, so we take travel assignments all over the country thanks to the nursing shortage. We're living in the same house the bus used to pick me up from - 3648 Genesee Rd. Stop by if you want to chat about old times - everyone's welcome! |

| 1974 | Montney, Russ | Sep 25, 2007 at 14:07:34 | Hey class of "74" Lapeer High School is our school still around. I'm still not happy about them changing the name of our high school. Did anyone ask us? I was browsing tonight and ran across this web page. Look at some of the comments from the more resent classes of LHS, most still just want to leave Lapeer. Well I guess I did too but now I miss it. I live in Romeo (Ray Twp) I've been a world travler (my world) sometimes I even get back to Lapeer. Mom and Dad still live on Farnsworth Rd. Three boys 20,18 and 17 no wife, I traded her for a Ray Cook putter, still using the putter. I would love to hear from classmates. Maybe we should have some kind of reunion? Maybe a couple of years together. Well drop me a line let me know how your doing, if your coming back to MI I'll pick you up at the airport. Lets see 2007 - 1974 = How did I get this old. |
| 1974 | (Baguley)Palividas, Karen | 7/15/1999 at 10:38:52 PM | Well, after 25 years I'm still in school! I plan to finish my doctorate at the University of Houston.I'm pursuing my degree in Language, Literacy, and Language Acquisition. I'm only in the most political field of the day, you know the whole language-phonics debate and all that garbage! Texas is the most conservative place ever. I think I'm one of five democrats in the whole state. If you support George Bush for president we need to talk. I am the mother of two beautiful girls, Lauren 12, and Kaitlyn 4. I tried being married twice before I got it right. My husband is a doctor and of Greek origin. Opah!!! Besides attending the university, I teach in the Spring school district as a reading specialist and teach courses at the univ. I refuse to get old, and do everything I can to combat it. I remember we had the best graduation party ever in 1974!!!! Are we having a 25th reunion any time soon?I was in Lapeer last winter, wow has it changed!!! At least it was void of cowboys and big hair!!!It would be great to hear from anyone! Rock and roll rules! |
