I am presently the Children's Librarian at the Hazel Park Memorial Library in Hazel Park, Michigan. I received my Master's in Library Science in 1972 and have been a Librarian off and on for many years (with a 18 year hiatus working in the family business). I was the Head Librarian at the Detroit Institute of Technology before it closed in 1981. I have 4 children--Alexia (25), Tracey (23), Robbie (21), and Kylara (9). My ex-husband, Robert, died in 2002 and I "inherited" his 9 year old daughter. It is interesting having a young child around. I have been actively involved in Girl Scouting since Alexia was 5 (20 years???) and still have an active troop of Junior and Brownie Girl Scouts. Please email me and let me know what you are up to. My husband, Clifford H. Wood, and I plan to retire in August when we will move to Ilderton, Ont., a small community near London. For me, it is after 40 years of working as a librarian in three countries. We hope to be able to visit the Lapeer area upon occasion. |
